What does it take to have a healthy practice?

We need to talk about the difference between Revenue and Profit.  One good way to think about this is to ask - would you rather have a clinic that brings in $1,000,000 per year or $100,000 per year?  The answer?

It depends on your PROFIT!

Revenue does not equal profit; the sooner we recognize this and put more import on profit the healthier our businesses would be.

This is also important for employees to understand!  You need to have at least a basic idea of how the business side works to have constructive conversations with your employer.
