n 2002, the US Supreme court ruled that executing people with intellectual disabilities is unconstitutional. This was a FEDERAL ruling, which means that all states have to abide by this law. There was a similar law passed in the state of Alabama in 1986, where today’s case takes place. But unfortunately, Governor Bill Clinton and the Alabama judges at the time decided to take the law into their own hands âand enact their own type of justice…
