Fresh off of two back to back commanding victories at the Javelina 100 mile and the Black Canyon 100k, Riley Brady is indisputably coming into their own as a top competitor in a rapidly evolving sport - as we've seen records fall nearly every time a race is run, and elite fields deepening across the board, Riley has consistently been there for it, and continuing to climb race by race by race.
In this episode, Lauren and Riley discuss their origins in the sport and how the landscape has changed over time. We discuss Riley's personal journey from a dream and self-belief, to self-actualization as one of the best athletes in the sport, and the lessons learned and choices made to get here. We also spend some time breaking down Riley's race experience at the 2025 Black Canyon 100k where they bested the previous course record by a mind-blowing 30 full minutes; as well as thoughts and plans around returning to the Western States 100 this summer.
