Dr Rimla Akhtar is former Chair of the Muslim Women’s Sport Foundation and the first Muslim woman to sit on the Football Association Council.

Ranked by Forbes and the Independent as one of the most powerful women in international sports, in 2015 Rimla was awarded an MBE for "her contribution to equality and diversity in sport”
