This is an amazing and mesmerizing episode. Tabitha was born into a 'cult' and realized into her teen years that she needed to get out. As with many 'cults' she was frozen out when she left, and with no support system, she needed to fend for herself. Her parents remained, which made things even harder for her. Once free of the chains, she struggled with mental health issues as she began to process the trauma, and things were to get even harder when her best friend died by suicide when she was just 18. Tabitha offers hope and advice for those who are struggling and our podcast, as usual, aims to shine a spotlight on these stories and how we can unite, and take comfort on other peoples survival from such extraordinary events.
TRIGGER WARNING: TOPIC INCLUDES ADDICTION AND SUICIDE.
