Michelle Rae Woodward has had the most painful, extraordinary, and exhausting journey through multiple pregnancies. All of which ended in 2nd term pregnancy loss (birthed 3 boys and 2 girls, all deceased). She talks about how she was treated by the western medical paradigm, we discuss the grief she went through, her look into surrogacy in US and India, and then onto international adoption, and finally, how she is now raising a child with autism! Quite the amazing journey! She was completely broken, near to death twice, but stay for the revival! She rebuilt herself into a way better version of herself and more. This experience completely f*cked her up and it is quite a story of dreams, failure, setbacks, grief, trauma, hope, resilience and love.

In this raw and often heartbreaking episode, we hear how Shay Leonia had to witness the slow demise of her mother who was diagnosed with dementia when Shay was only 9 years old, and her mother was in her Forties! There is still so much that is unknown about FTD, the specific disease in question, which is the deterioration of the brain's frontal lobe. Shay discusses the journey through watching her mother literally slip away, and eventually die, (when Shay was 13) which was beyond traumatizing. Stay with us here, because as with all of our episodes, we go on the journey through these life changing events. Shay was placed in a home and then with her older brother as her Father was not around, she was an orphan. With all this loss and abandonment, not surprisingly, there was relationship trouble ahead. The journey of recovery through the next few years, up to today, is an absolutely unmissable story. Thank you Shay. You are an inspiration!

Sabrina Colosimo, discusses her mom's rare syndrome that rendered her paralyzed up to her eyeballs, within two weeks. Terrifying! It baffled the doctors and it turned their lives upside down. She “lived” in the ICU for 16 months, fully conscious and unable to move. Her family took turns around the clock to have someone there with her. The experience would forever change them. We discuss, the feeling of being powerless and a small cog in a big wheel, the feeling of supporting her mother while being single and having no one to share her burden. Then there was the untold stress that a family goes through when a loved one is sick, the all-consuming thoughts of having a loved one living minute to minute, and still having to carry on with work and life, the triggering effect and hypochondriac symptoms that come along with a super rare and lightning-fast onset of this disease, the family dynamics that come to the surface when you are forced into this situation, and finally we discuss just how much advocacy they needed to get things done in the hospital! Its a huge, amazing, rollercoaster of a story.. so buckle up!
