She co-founded and directs the Foundation of the Sacred Stream, a consciousness studies school in Berkeley, California. With a background in publishing, music, video production, and alternative therapies, her music has appeared in film and television. She has studied spiritual, therapeutic, and meditative techniques worldwide, learning from master teachers across traditions. She co-authored the newly released book Depth Hypnosis: A Path to Healing, Power and Transformation with Isa Gucciardi, Ph.D.

Effect on Emotions
Mindfulness lets me take a step back from my emotions.
I can take a beat, take a breath, and see what's arising.
Rather than just becoming reactive, it gives me that pause to say where is that coming from.
I'm not always perfect at it, and I don't think humans can be perfect at it, but mindfulness helps me not to become overwhelmed by my emotions. It gives me a tool to work with them.
