At 38 registered nurse, Sally Kriel had a moment that completely floored her, she was diagnosed with bowel cancer. As a young mum with two small children, the news of her diagnosis was completely unexpected and after some serious reflection it caused her to change the way she viewed the world in order to create a pathway for recovery. She now is on a mission to help others who are experiencing a cancer diagnosis, through her blog, The Awakened Mumma and her brand new book, A woman’s guide to The Invisible Cancer Load. She believes when people receive a cancer diagnosis they enter into a new world of the unknown, and this book is a way for her to help others more easily navigate this. We had a heartfelt chat about her journey and learned about all the tools she used to create the mindset shift she needed to get through this period of her life.
