Episode 236 | Today the conversation on the episode is about suicide. Please call 988 if you are feeling suicidal. If you are triggered by this conversation, don't listen. If you choose to listen, please be sure to move your bodies following the conversation. Today I talk about how we are falling short in supporting our loved ones in being able to 1) truly notice when they need our support and 2) missing the signs because of our self-centered lenses. It's a tough conversation, but necessary and one I hope we can continue to normalize and keep open.

Episode 235 | Today I have a free flow conversation about reflection on my time off. The conversation was prompted around the discussion of choosing to spend the holidays alone, finding happiness in no running water and washing my hair in a spackle bucket and the loss of Barbara Walters. I promise it all connects into a really important message.

Episode 233 | Many of us have learned how to live inside a role. What it should look like as a mother, a wife, a career person and how to make others happy. We've learned to give all of our resources and energy to those around us and feel guilt if we do anything less than this. And it's about mid-life that many of us begin to break down, burn out and try and figure out why and how to fix it. Is it because we aren't living as our true selves?

In today's episode, I share my thoughts around the excessive and overwhelming messaging around our need for self-help and to be and do better as women. How can we find moderation and self-acceptance in this space when we are constantly reminded of how poorly we're doing. What if we stopped shaming ourselves for surviving?

231 | In this episode, I introduce you to the concept of attachment styles. We all have them. And any and all of us likely have some discourse inside of important relationships, especially our marriages. No matter the root of those issues, it is incredibly supportive and relevant to understand you and your partners different attachment styles to help get underneath an additional layer of what could be contributing to how you're relating with one another. After today's episode, you'll understand the four different types of styles and how they look as children and as adults and how you can begin to reprogram.
Many may hear "inner child work" and not think it's for them, or if you're like me, thinks it's cheesy and unnecessary. Today, I share with you what it actually is, why every single person needs it, and several actions you can take to begin to implement inner child work today.

When we are feeling stuck in life, we often turn to a challenge: an exercise challenge, an eating challenge, a meditation challenge. And when we complete the challenge, we feel on top of the world... for a moment. And if we don't complete it, we feel like a failure. But in either way, do these challenges create long term, internal changes? Often not. They continue to support old patterns and unserving thought loops. What if our true challenge is meeting ourselves where we are each day?

Women are constantly reminded where they are falling short and where they can do better? But what about our male counterparts? Are they evolving and growing in our marriages with us? Why aren't men being told they need to also do work? Today, I begin this conversation.

We are a culture that values big paychecks, nice cars, big houses and working HARD. The more you work, the more you're praised. We have created a narrative of shame and guilt for anyone who takes time to rest, restore and recover. We patronize and make fun of people who support their rest - taking time off, not answering emails right away, being more minimalist/simple, being a stay at home mom, taking a nap or god forbid, stop to eat lunch. Let's talk more about what this is and how we can begin to create more shameless rest.
