Seven years ago, Sarah Atkinson a 27-year-old hairdresser, lived with her husband in the small town of Cooma, near the Snowy Mountains. After the devastating loss of her mother, Sarah decided it was time to take control of her future and embrace the things that scared her – so she set out to completely change her life. Now, 33-year-old and mum to three beautiful kids, Sarah runs a successful business with her husband, and has recently graduated with a Bachelor of Psychological Science from Swinburne Online and now has her heart set on becoming a Life Coach and has just started her graduate diploma in Coaching. There are days when we want to throw in the towel, when we imagine what could’ve been if only we’d wandered down a different career path.
Despite what you may think, it’s never too late to make a change, to reinvent yourself, to follow your dreams… just like Cathrine Mahoney did.
Cathrine left her cushy job as a celebrity publicist to make it as an author. Spoiler alert - she got the book deal and published her first book, Currently Between Husbands, and on top of that, she also started a podcast.
So, I Quit My Day Job, hosted by Cathrine Mahoney, is a podcast inspired by people from all walks of life who share one thing in common; they took a leap of faith and quit their day jobs in pursuit of their dream gig.
