Australian researchers are hailing what they're calling a major breakthrough in the development of a universal flu vaccine that protects against all strains of the virus. The discovery of genes that kill all flu types could help prevent thousands of deaths every year worldwide.

"I've been following the Moomba parade since 1996 and each year the spectacle is even better. Melbourne knows how to be creative. She says this year's Macedonian community entry delighted the public with their folk dances and exquisite costumes, participating in a carnival-style atmosphere well known throughout Macedonian history as well.

The present-day carnival has assumed a modern dimension, with influences from similar carnivals worldwide, although its traditional custom of going to engaged girls' houses remains.
In 1994 Strumica became a member of the International Association of Carnival Cities FECC, and in 1998 hosted the 18th International Congress of Carnival Cities.

George Georgievski, the Geelong dad, who creates healthy lunch box combinations for primary school children, has captured the attention of world famous chef Jamie Oliver. Now, acknowledged as a health food ambassador of Jamie Oliver’s, promoting fresh and nutritious eating for young people, George Georgievski can continue leading the charge to clean up school canteens in Victoria.
George says he is astonished at how the message of an ordinary father of Macedonian origin in Geelong can reach the world.
