Many migrants face hurdles while trying to find a job when they first arrive in Australia. Lack of work experience in Australia and language barriers are some of the concerns that affect many applicants. But many find TAFE courses helpful in overcoming these hurdles. Listen to some experiences.

The Australian health authorities have recently given and advice to run tap water for 30 seconds before drinking, in order to avoid any possible lead poisoning. How far lead poisoning is possible in tap water? Perth based environmental conusltant Dr. Jaya Nair, who is an Adjunct Associate Professor in Murdoch University, talks about it.

As part of World AIDS Day, on December 1 world over numerous programmes were held aimed at improving awareness about AIDS. Though the number of deaths from AIDS and AIDS-related illnesses have reduced compared to the past, more needs to be done to increase awareness about AIDS and the health services available to assist AIDS patients. Recent studies show that stigma associated with AIDS is a matter of concern that needs to be addressed. Dr Titus Thomas, GP in Melbourne, explains.
