Norman Alfred William Lindsay கலையில் தனக்கென தனி முத்திரை பதித்த ஆஸ்திரேலியக் கலைஞர். பல சாதனைகளையும் விமர்சனங்களையும் உள்ளடக்கிய அவரின் வாழ்க்கை வரலாற்றை “நம்ம ஆஸ்திரேலியா” நிகழ்ச்சி வழி விவரிக்கிறார் தினகரன் செல்லையா அவர்கள். 

Private health insurance premiums are set to rise by 3.25 per cent, the lowest increase in almost two decades.

An ageing population and rising health care costs have been blamed for the rise, and consumer groups hope out-of-pocket costs will be cut to offset the increase.

இந்த விருது குறித்தும், அவரது ஒலிபரப்புத்துறைப் பயணம் குறித்தும் குலசேகரம் சஞ்சயனுடன் பகிர்ந்து கொள்கிறார் ரமாதேவி.

The Global Teacher Prize is an annual US $1 million award by the Varkey Foundation to a teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to the profession.  The Global Teacher Prize, which has been referred to by journalists as the Nobel Prize for teaching, highlights and celebrates the profession while giving greater recognition to the work of teachers all over the world.

Two of the 50 teachers short-listed for The Global Teacher Prize are Australians.  One of them is a Tamil – Yasodai Selvakumaran, a history and society and culture teacher, at Rooty Hill High School, NSW.  Kulasegaram Sanchayan talks to Yasodai about her passion for teaching and about the award.

உலகில் சிறந்த பங்களிப்பை வழங்கியுள்ள ஒரு ஆசிரியருக்கு, ஒரு மில்லியன் டொலர் பணத்துடன் Varkey Foundation உலகின் சிறந்த ஆசிரியர் என்ற பரிசை கடந்த சில வருடங்களாக வழங்கி வருகிறது.  இந்தப் பரிசு, ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் நோபல் பரிசு என பத்திரிகைகளால் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுகிறது.

2019ம் ஆண்டு வழங்கப்படும் உலகின் சிறந்த ஆசிரியர் பரிசுக்குத் தேர்வாகியுள்ள 50 ஆசிரியர்களில் இருவர் ஆஸ்திரேலியர்கள். அவர்களில் ஒருவர் தமிழ் – NSW மாநிலத்திலுள்ள ரூட்டி ஹில் உயர்நிலைப் பள்ளியில் வரலாறு மற்றும் சமூக கலாச்சார ஆசிரியராகக் கடமையாற்றும் யசோதை செல்வக்குமரன்.

கற்பித்தலில் அவருக்குரிய ஆர்வம் குறித்தும், உலகின் சிறந்த ஆசிரியர் பரிசு குறித்தும் யசோதையிடம் கேட்டறிந்து கொள்கிறார் குலசேகரம் சஞ்சயன்.

P. Vasu is a popular and successful South Indian cinema director, writer and actor.  His father has worked as a make-up artist and his son is now an upcoming actor.

P. Vasu was in Sydney recently and Kulasegaram Sanchayan has an opportunity to conduct a long-interview with him.

In this third part of the interview, P Vasu talks about his re-collection of MGR and the movie he is making in which MGR is the hero.

A Tamil asylum seeker family who made their home in a small Queensland town will be deported to Sri Lanka, after the Federal Court on Friday rejected their bid to stay in Australia.   Kulasegaram Sanchayan brings their story.
