A blood donation campaign titled, "Red Love in Orange" was initiated by Dr Sumitha Gounden in the remote town of Orange, NSW.  The campaign was a big success and has been welcomed by the RedCross Bloodbank and the local community.  Kulasegaram Sanchayan talks to Dr. Sumitha Gounden and a young campaigner, Varnika Kannan.

NSW மாநிலத்தின் தொலைதூரத்திலுள்ள Orange என்ற இடத்தில் ஒரு வெற்றிகரமான இரத்ததான விழிப்புணர்வை மருத்துவர் சுமிதா கௌண்டன் மேற்கொண்டுள்ளார்.  “Red Love in Orange” என்று தலைப்பிட்டு அவர் மேற்கொண்ட இந்த முயற்சி பலராலும் பாராட்டுப் பெற்றுள்ளது.  இது குறித்து, மருத்துவர் சுமிதா கௌண்டன் மற்றும் அதில் பங்களிப்பு செய்துள்ள சிறுமி வர்ணிகா கண்ணன் ஆகியோரது கருத்துகளுடன் நிகழ்ச்சி படைக்கிறார் குலசேகரம் சஞ்சயன்.

The latest meeting of state and federal governments has focused on the levels of migration to Australia.

While the federal government sets migration levels, the needs and wants of state and territory governments on the issue have come to the fore.

கடைசியாக நடைபெற்ற ஆஸ்திரேலிய மாநில மற்றும் பிராந்தியங்களின் கூட்டம் – COAG (Council of Australian Governments), ஆஸ்திரேலியாவிற்குக் குடிபெயர்ந்து வருபவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கையில் கவனம் செலுத்தியது.

Crossed eyes is also called strabismus, a condition in which your eyes don’t line up. The condition is more common in children, but it can also occur later in life. In older children and adults, crossed eyes can be caused by a variety of underlying medical conditions, like cerebral palsy or stroke. Ophthalmologist Raj Pathmaraj explains more about this.

Crossed eyes- மாறுகண் என்பது பலரையும் பாதிக்கக்கூடிய ஒன்று. இது ஏன் ஏற்படுகிறது என்பது பற்றியும் இதனால் ஏற்படக்கூடிய பாதிப்புகள் பற்றியும் விளக்கமளிக்கிறார் மெல்பேர்னைச் சேர்ந்த கண் மருத்துவ நிபுணர் ராஜ் பத்மராஜ் அவர்கள்.

Five young Australian language students have been selected as the winners of the third annual SBS National Languages Competition.

The winners were selected from around 4,000 entries representing 80 languages.
