Sir John Cornforth investigated enzymes that catalyze change in organic compounds by taking the place of hydrogen atoms in a substrate’s chains and rings. In his syntheses and descriptions of the structure of various terpenes, olefins, and steroids, he determined specifically which cluster of hydrogen atoms in a substrate is replaced by an enzyme to cause a given change in the substrate. This allowed Cornforth to detail the biosynthesis of cholesterol, an exceptionally complex molecule. He received the Nobel Prize in 1975 with Vladimir Prelog.  Remadevi Dhanasekar explains the achievements of John Cornforth Patrick White in “Namma Australia”.  

சர் ஜான் கார்ன்போர்த் அவர்களின் ஆராய்ச்சி கரிம சேர்மங்களின் அடி மூலக்கூறுகளின் ஹைட்ரஜன் அணுக்களை இடமாற்றம் செய்யும் வினையூக்கிகளை உருவாக்கும் நொதிபொருட்களை பற்றி அமைந்தது. டெர்பின்ஸ், ஓல்பின்ஸ், ஸ்டீராயாட்ஸ் போன்றவற்றின் அடிமூலக்கூறுகளில் எந்த மூலக்கூறுகள் நொதி பொருட்களால் மாற்றம் அடைகின்றன என்ற இவரது  ஆராய்ச்சி கண்டுபிடிப்புகள், கொழுப்புசத்துகளில் (கொலஸ்ட்ரால்) காணப்படும் உயிரியல் நுண்ணுயிர்களை பற்றிய விளக்கத்தை கொடுத்தது. இந்த விளக்கம் உடலில் கொலஸ்ட்ரால் தாக்கத்தை குறைக்கும் வகையில் மருத்துவத்திற்கு பயன்பட்டது.  சர் ஜான் கார்ன்போர்த் அவர்களின் கண்டுபிடிப்புகள் 1975-ம் ஆண்டு நோபல் பரிசினை பெற்றுக் கொடுத்து. அப்பரிசினை அவர் விளாடிமீர் பிரிலோக் என்ற ஆராய்ச்சியாளருடன் பகிர்ந்துக் கொண்டார்.  இவர் குறித்த அரிய தகவல்களை “நம்ம ஆஸ்திரேலியா” நிகழ்ச்சி மூலம் முன்வைக்கிறார்  4EB தமிழ் ஒலிபரப்பின் ரமாதேவி தனசேகர் அவர்கள்.

Former Chief Minister Karunanidhi is one of the few leaders who successfully used the power of literature to carry out his political vision and social reform in India. Kulasegaram Sanchayan brings the legacy left behind by Muthuvel Karunanidhi, with views expressed by Mu Metha, a Tamil poet and songwriter who popularised modern poetry; and Suba Veerapandian, author of many works on Tamil literature, politics and history and the General Secretary of Dravidar Iyyaka Tamilar Peravai.
