The 2018 World Cup is over- and the trophy has returned to a familiar home. France is football's world champion against after defeating Croatia in the World Cup final in Moscow.It was a game that wasn't short of action and it capped off a tournament of similar qualities. Dr.Bala Vicky explains the glorious moments of the game.

The Queen’s Young Leaders programme discovers, celebrates and supports exceptional young people from across the commonwealth, leaving a lasting legacy for her Majesty the Queen.  In 2014 a search was launched to find exceptional young people to receive the first ever Queen’s Young Leaders Awards.  The Programme is now in its fourth and final year and has formed a unique community of 240 influential change-makers, who represent 53 Commonwealth countries.  The only Tamil to win this award is Malaysia-based, Siva Nagappan Visvesvaran.

Kulasegaram Sanchayan talks to Siva about this award, and Siva's passions.

The annual intake of permanent migrants to Australia has fallen to its lowest level since 2007. Australia took in 20,000 fewer permanent migrants than in the previous financial year, as 12,000 skilled visas weren't issued and the number of family visas dropped by 8,000. Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton says the cut is partly due to the government listening to "community concerns" but migrant and business groups say the reduction in the intake could have negative consequences.

NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) is celebrated around Australia to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. What are the major issues of the Aborigines and Islanders communities? What shall we do to rectify them?

Muthukrishnan - author, social activist and the founder of Green Walk - an informal group that highlights neglected monuments; and Mr. Appasamy Navaneethakrishnan, former Advocate General of Tamil Nadu and presently a Member of Parliament, representing Tamil Nadu in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of India's Parliament (the leader of the AIADMK party in the Rajya Sabha).
