Poovulagaik Kattralum Kettalum is an anthology of Aboriginal poems in Tamil. Azhiyal who translated them from English to Tamil is a prominent writer in Australia. She translated 36 selected poems written by poets with Aboriginal backgrounds. June Mills’ “Naan Irakkumpothu” from Azhiyal’s “Poovulagaik Kattralum Kettalum”.

ஆழியாள் என்று இலக்கியதளத்தில் அறியப்படும் மதுபாஷினி அவர்களின் சமீபத்திய பங்களிப்பு  “பூவுலகைக் கற்றலும் கேட்டலும்” எனும் கவிதைத் தொகுப்பு (அணங்கு பெண்ணியப் பதிப்பகம்). தமிழில் மொழிபெயர்க்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் ஆஸ்திரேலிய பூர்வீக மக்களின் கவிதைத் தொகுப்பு நூலிலிருந்து June Millsஅவர்களின் “நான் இறக்கும்போது” எனும் கவிதை.  

For nearly 30 years, the United Nations has recognized World Population Day as an annual awareness day.  This year’s theme recognises the implementation of legislation that definitively stated that women and girls had the right to avoid exhaustion, danger and depletion from too many pregnancies too close together if they felt it the best route for them.

The Australian government has recently backed down from its earlier plan of doubling the income threshold of parent visa sponsors.

 Yet, as of this July some other changes have been introduced, affecting applicants of the parent visa category.

 And in addition to the increased processing time, migration agents are expecting to see further changes.
