Happy Thanksgiving, SoulFull Society! We are SO GRATEFUL for you. Without you, the SoulFull Society would not exist. It’s because of listeners like you that we’ve been able to join thousands of podcast listeners on their wellness journeys.
We dedicate today’s episode to YOU, lovely listener. We truly appreciate your continued support and are so proud of all of you who are brave enough to be on a path of self-discovery and personal growth.
We want to bring action to our emotions and give back the gift of gratitude that we feel towards you. Gratitude is scientifically proven to reduce stress, increase happiness, and have a positive impact on our relationships. Sounds SoulFull, right?
We hope that this heart-centered meditation helps you restore harmony in your day and your life. We invite you to take 10 minutes for yourself before the day gets crazy with cooking, eating, imbibing and socializing to enjoy this centering time.
This holiday, gratitude takes on a new level of importance as we reunite with loved ones who we may not have celebrated holidays with for two years or more. Despite everything, there’s so much to be thankful for. Gratitude has many health benefits. It impacts our emotional, physical, medical, and mental well-being. Studies show that it can make us feel more optimistic and less aggravated. Gratitude can inspire, engage, and reinvigorate even the most downtrodden among us.
A gratitude practice can:
* Increase motivation
* Alleviate pain
* Improve sleep
* Boost your brain
Check out this tip on how to incorporate gratitude into your day. And check out this story about seeing the positive things we all have around us!

JOY… what is life without it? In today’s episode we’re talking about hobbies and why it’s important that you have something in your life that’s just for you. In our outcome-driven world, your wellness benefits from having something that’s all about the process.
We’ll start by discussing why having a hobby is important to your wellness, talk about how to connect with a hobby you love, and then we’ll wrap up with a fun little quiz that we wrote just for you, to help you determine if what you enjoy doing qualifies as your hobby or not.
Progress over perfection, consistency over perfection, balance over perfection. When it comes to finding joy in your life it truly is all about the journey, not the destination - the process, not the product.
What makes you happy? What do you want more of, in your life? Let’s explore!

Cultivating joy can seem difficult, especially after more than a year of social isolation, political turmoil, sickness, sadness, and other challenges to your well-being. We get it. But did you know that showing gratitude for others is actually a tool you can use to reconnect with lost joy.
Research shows that acts of kindness and gratitude positively impact our well-being. In scientific studies, people who practice gratitude exhibit lower levels of stress and depression, cope better with adversity, and sleep better. Kindness has been shown to increase self-esteem, empathy and compassion, and even improve mood. It can decrease blood pressure and the stress hormone cortisol, which directly impacts stress levels. Physiologically, kindness can positively change your brain. (You read that right!)
Being kind boosts serotonin and dopamine, which are neurotransmitters in the brain that give you feelings of satisfaction and well-being, and cause the pleasure/reward centers in your brain to light up.
In today’s episode we’re looking at gratitude with a new lens. We chat about what gratitude is, is not, and how to practice it in new ways so you can start experiencing all these amazing health benefits.
Need one more reason to listen? November is National Gratitude Month. So what are you waiting for? Listen now.
Do you over-plan, over-think, and give waaaayy too much energy to things that really don’t matter all that much? Does your perfectionism prevent you from finishing (or even starting!) tasks? Do you identify as someone who struggles with anxiety? This episode is for you!
Today we’re covering something that is all too close to our hearts: worry. We’re going over the not-so-obvious signs that you’re experiencing anxiety symptoms and sharing healthy tools to recognize & combat “sneaky” anxiety to self-soothe, feel powerful, be happy and build self-confidence.
In this episode, you get to hear about the origins of Kit & Kaelynn’s identification as im-perfectionists. You’ll also learn how to recognize the signs of “sneaky” anxiety by identifying your habits to control what you can, as we cover:
* the need for control
* reclaiming your power
* holding on vs. letting go
* Who are you? Describe your spirit in 10 words.
* developing your identity
* language & its impact on your emotions
* finding your Goldilocks point between denial and totally abdicating power
* intention setting as a grounding tool
* mitigating worry & its effects on you
* taking action
* breaking the cycle
* flow vs. control

Manifestation. What really is it?
We’re happy to unpack this for you in today’s episode, based on our personal use of it and research we’ve done on expert manifestors.
Manifestation is bringing into your life what aligns with your truest self, calling into being what you most want and are worthy of.
“I do not chase, I attract. What belongs to me will simply find me.”
Manifestation 101: let’s start with what it’s not... It’s not magic. It’s not wishful thinking. It’s not falling asleep on your textbook to learn through osmosis, instead of studying. Manifesting is a step-by-step process for bringing what aligns with your truest self (not settling, not comparing yourself to others)
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF - start with the belief that you’re worthy - a very personal experience
DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT - get clear on what you want - visual imagery can help with this, get specific
FEEL THE ENERGY OF YOUR GOAL - re-align your energy, practice feeling the feelings - focus on the what & the why, release the how
RELEASE - let go of controlling & be open to opportunities - generate more energy & conversation - flow with the energy & follow the path - relinquish control of the details & trust, stay flexible - evaluate your internal beliefs
TAKE INSPIRED ACTIONS - use affirmations & mantras to help yourself focus - magnetism & the law of attraction, pull vs. push
***BE GRATEFUL IN ADVANCE*** - start small & keep going
LET GO & ALLOW THE MANIFESTING PROCESS TO UNFOLD - have fun - law of assumption - no more “work” left to do on your end
RECEIVE - graciously accept what you want into your life - acknowledge you are worthy - it doesn’t always show up exactly how you imagined, that’s OK
If you’re living with an invisible illness and feel frustrated and hopeless, know that you’re not alone. In this episode, Kaelynn shares her personal health journey for those suffering; for those who feel isolated or alone; and for those who have a loved one, friend, or colleague they wish to better understand and empathize with.
Kaelynn opens up in the hope that, by hearing her story, you’ll restore the relationship between you and your body, learn to be able to trust yourself again, and know that you WILL heal over time. Even if no one can give you answers at first, keep going, you will find healing.
We start 7 years ago with Kaelynn, an unwell college student, headed out for a jog but landing in the ER, face swollen, getting epinephrine injections. Kaelynn takes us through her years of struggles, fears, and mind body disconnection to where she is today.
This is a story of health struggles, but also a powerful message for your relationship with your body, inner knowing, self advocacy, and perseverance.

Okay, Soulful Society you’re in for a real treat because we have fan-favorite, Carla Kieth BACK on the pod!
We asked what you all want to hear more about, and you said, “Give us more nutrition episodes!” So we reached out to our dear friend and Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Carla, who’s currently pursuing yet another degree in her field, a masters degree in nutrition & integrative health.
If you’re craving more Carla when you finish listening to this episode, you can go to our 4th episode, and first interview ever on the pod, episode 4 from April 16, 2020 “Finally Free: Healing Your Relationship with Food” and also episode 20 on August 6, 2020 “Secrets Revealed: Here’s What to Eat to Heal Your Anxiety”.
In today’s episode we’re diving deep into an issue we touched on in “Healthy Habits Gone Wrong” last week as we learn about the increasingly prevalent health disorder: orthorexia.
Orthorexia is an unhealthy focus on eating in a healthy way which leads to obsessing about eating healthy to a degree that can damage your overall well-being.
We have a candid conversation about food, nutrition, eating habits, healthy - unhealthy - and disordered eating behaviors, mindset, spirituality, the pursuit of perfection, self improvement, diets, whole 30, therapy, coaching, finding fulfillment… you’ll just have to listen to see how all these things are entwined!

In today’s episode we reveal four “healthy” habits that are actually sabotaging your wellness; give you examples of each, talk about what they look like, why you might be doing them AND, most importantly, how you can fix them and what you can do instead, to be healthier, happier, and more successful!
See if you recognize yourself in any of these behaviors as we reveal four major ways that, while trying to be healthy, you’re actually undermining your own wellness.
