Every-now-and-again, Sue Becker gets asked questions regarding adverse reactions when adding real bread and freshly milled whole grains to a diet. Some of these more common reactions include, but are not limited to increased bowel movements, increased gas and discomfort, nausea, and cramping.
These questions have pushed Sue to do even more research, which has lead her to understand that real bread may actually play a bigger, more significant, role than she had ever imagined, in the realm of naturally detoxifying our bodies.

Tyler Golson is the brother of Sara Valentine, who was our guest from episode number 66. Tyler's story began with a trip to Italy. While there, he began to notice the drastic difference between the food served in the US vs the freshness of the food served in another country.
Once arriving home, Tyler's yearning for the real food they had experienced, along with the constant elimination troubles his two sons were having, drove him to search for better choices for his family. This is when he was introduced to Bread Beckers, and he has never looked back!

Sue Becker addresses and debunks another myth that has flooded social media and other health-eating outlets for the past few years.
Dr. Steven Gundry, author of the book, The Plant Paradox, claims that lectins adversely impact good gut organisms, compromise digestion, promote inflammation, and even boldly claims that lectins are the biggest dietary danger to our health and may even be killing us. Sue gives logical reasons why this information is simply not true!

The book, "A Treatise on Bread and Bread Making," by Sylvester Graham, was written in 1837. Even though his book was written nearly 100 years ago, it is absolutely amazing how his words still ring true today. In fact, Sue Becker has often quoted from his writings in her teachings, and in today's episode, Sue reads a few excerpts, directly from his book, beginning with his preface.

"I do not think I am suppose to make bread for the world, I think I am supposed to teach the world to make bread for themselves." - Sue Becker, 1992
These words spoken by Sue Becker, to her husband Brad, in October of 1992, drastically changed their lives. They had no idea the impact these words would have, for even years to come. That was more than 30 years ago, and these words have definitely been more powerful than either of them could have ever imagined!
Since that very moment that Bread Beckers was born, they have had the privilege of reaching every continent with the valued teaching of REAL bread, through their non-profit ministry, Real Bread Outreach.
