This week we lost a true media legend in Phil Donahue. Years ago I got to interview Phil and his wife of more than 40 years Marlo Thomas for my Committed podcast. I still think about that interview all the time. We are replaying it here in tribute to Phil and Marlo's epic love story. 

Marlo never wanted to get married. But she was so smitten with Phil after appearing on his show in 1977 she finally took the plunge. Marlo became a stepmom to Phil's four boys, they lived long distance and figured out how to make it work. They survived Hollywood and cross country moves and jealousy over co-stars. Their wit and wisdom about commitment is unparalleled.
