  • 82 - How to Turn 1 Client into Hundreds w/ Lesley Logan
Our guest today is an amazing example of taking one customer and turning them into a boatload of raving fans who want to work with you and help you scale your business fast. Leslie Logan is a PMA Certified Pilates Teacher and has been studying and teaching since 2005. She also has eight years of retail management experience, and six years managing studios and was voted ‘Best Pilates in Los Angeles’ by Los Angeles Magazine. She’s here to share how she built such a successful business off the back of good relationships.    Leslie’s journey to breaking through her first six figures started with managing a high-end boutique that she actually enjoyed. There, she learned about sales and relationships, but she knew she had a hard ceiling working for someone else. When she was invited to a pilates workout by a friend, she instantly knew she was hooked. When she moved to LA, but couldn’t find a class that fit her--so she started her own. Faster than she could imagine, she was booked to the point where she was working 7-days a week. She pivoted from her day-to-day job to teach as well.    Getting booked early and often was a product of Leslie’s foundational mantra: get your first client obsessed with you, and they will get you every client. She poured herself into the first relationship she found and it paid off in the biggest way. She knew that when they walked out the door, people who ask them why they’re standing taller, feeling better, and looking great. Before she knew it, these clients were recommending her to dozens, who further referred her. It’s important to note that while she was pouring herself into these relationships, she wasn’t waiting around for referrals. She continued to be consistent and show up where she needed to at the same time. When she speaks to her potential clients, she tells them exactly what she does in a context that makes sense to who she is speaking to. For example, if she’s speaking to a business person, she may mention how Pilates can help with back pain, posture, and other related issues.    When Leslie began managing a studio, she noticed many women in her industry were trying to sell the service or business, not the time with them or the attention and care they would receive. She discovered that if you can make people feel heard and seen, if you can show them that what you offer will bring them value and improve their lives, you can build a foundation of clients who return to you consistently. Demonstrate that you’re the only person who can do what you do the way you do it. Build trust through honesty--people will stick with you for years if you can set expectations, hit goals, and meet needs.    Leslie discusses setting rates based on how much you want to work. Her formula is this: think about how much you want to gross in a year, take that number and divide it by how many weeks you’d like to work in that year. Include holidays, important weeks, and events as well! Then, consider how many days a week you’re comfortable working, and again, how many hours a day you’re able to work. You’re left with an hourly rate. This way, you’re not basing how much money you make on working more. Get specific if you’re considering making your side-hustle your primary income. How much do you need to make to fill the gaps? How much time will it take in comparison?   Remember, people don’t buy businesses, they buy stories. Building genuine relationships is the first step in a long journey to bringing value and serving those who are interested in what you’re passionate about.    Leslie’s final tip is to have the confidence to trust yourself. Don’t look for the next hot tip--listen to advice, but listen to your heart and where your soul is pulling you.    LINKS   https://lesleyloganpilates.com/   onlinepilatesclasses.com/free    Connect with LL on IG @lesley.logan & @profitablepilates

  • 81 - How to Shorten Your Sale Cycle w/ Rafat Fields
Welcome back to She Sells Radio with your host, Elyse Archer! A question on many people’s minds is this: how do we shorten the sale cycle? The closing process can be daunting, but there are steps to get better. Today’s guest is an expert at this. Rafat Fields 7-figure corporate sales producer, branding expert, NASM certified personal trainer, and USA Olympic Weightlifter. She empowers corporate leaders to convert the potential of their teams into powerful results by building a personal brand that breaks through the noise of competition.   Rafat grew up in the sales industry--down the first job she had out of college. Medical Device is her industry, and she’s dived deep into it her entire career. She’s classically trained and executed her process.    A lot of sales training is designed for men by men and is very linear. This works in theory but can feel limiting to women in particular. Rafat’s first role was almost militaristic in her company’s training programs. Coming out of college into that environment immersed her in that limiting structure. While it was a good starting point, she realized she wasn’t tapping into her full potential due to a lack of soft skills. When she was able to tap into her intuitive selling skills she saw transformative growth. For example, when Rafat notices a customer may be uncomfortable, she can bring that up in leadership discussions. When they allow that customer to go to the problem behind the problem and avoid offering the canned sales pitch, success comes in. Sometimes the language you use in one circumstance won’t translate to another.    Shortening the sales cycle and closing faster is the dream. Sometimes, though, it’s a burn and simmer relationship. For Rafat, it’s all about listening. Not just to what the customer is saying, but about their “inner ear.” Consider what questions you’re asking to identify patterns. Trace those threads and be proactive in delivering information in bite-sized communications over time. Consider what’s behind the ‘no’ and ask questions that will navigate past it. Tackle the objections upfront so as you move through the sales cycle, you can address them while not losing ground. They’ve already done their research and have gotten information from you before this meeting. At this point, it’s about carrying them to the next step.   When you do a follow-up, offer relevant information that will further their journey. In your in-between communications, provide value. The quality of the questions you ask is what will empower you to have an impactful follow-up. Think about the questions that come up over and over again. That’s the content you need to produce upfront. That content needs to be consistent across all channels because you don’t know where the customer’s point of entry is.    Rafat reminds us to lean into who you are. Customers connect with people, not things. Don’t deprive them of the crucial part of the experience: connecting with you. When that happens, you’ll see it in your results. That means bringing your whole self to your social posts, your videos, and your professional connections. In the same way, utilize your interpersonal skills, your observational skills, and your emotional intelligence to marry them with the concrete sales skills you’ve learned.

  • 80 - How to Confidently Promote Yourself on Social Media w/ Camara Jackson
This week on She Sells Radio, Elyse is sitting down with an award-winning interior designer, successful business owner, and single mom of four. This superhero’s name is Camara Jackson, and this week she is breaking down how she built her wealth through intentional relationship building, how we can overcome the fear of promoting ourselves on social media, all while being a full-time mom.   Camara’s journey started in her earlier twenties when she shifted from her career in property management. She moved to Florida where she worked in the DCOTA, with some networking and showing off her talent as a designer, she found herself working with some amazing people. When she moved again to North Carolina and had four kids, she realized she couldn’t work for someone else.   Getting started wasn’t easy. Camara grappled with the classic stressful feeling: “Why would anyone want to work with me?” But, once she got her foot in the door, it was off to the races. When she combined her high-ticket client base with some social media work, magic happened and she was able to scale her relationships into a business.    Relationships are at the foundation of Camara’s growth. Getting on a certain level with clients is essential--there are aspects of dialing into a person on an emotional plane that will allow you to connect in a meaningful way. Perspective is important, especially when you’re a big part of this person’s life. Sometimes you know about their personal lives, their families, their fears, and their aspirations. Don’t forget that! She doesn’t recommend sending an assistant to meet with clients. Setting expectations at the outset of a relationship is important with high-ticket sales. There will be highs and lows, but there will always be a positive outcome.    Camara’s relationship with sales has evolved over the years. Going door to door and cold calling aren’t her comfort zone. She relies on finding something she can relate to. People gravitate to those who they relate to the most, so be that person on social media! She learned to market herself on social media by realizing that people can see through the B.S. Clients have seen her cry! Be authentic and show clients that you’re in it for the long haul.    Getting over the hurdle of anxiety surrounding self-promotion is a hard one. It’s difficult to grapple with the idea that you’re posting yourself for everyone to see! The truth is, no one views you as narcissistic. People crave connection--and that means with you! If they know you’re a real person, they’ll know you’re relatable. Analytics show that pictures of ourselves perform better than others. Post those pictures--you don’t have to be perfect, you just have to connect. Imposter syndrome will exist, but just do it!    When growing her business, Camara reminds us to look for quality and to be okay with giving trust to others. You CAN charge more and have fewer clients, saving time and effort while making more money.    LINKS   http://stylebycamara.com/ @stylebycamara

  • 79 - Breaking Six Figures in Corporate Sales AND a Side Hustle w/ Kimberly Kesterke
If you love the idea of breaking through six figures and you love the idea of earning that much at the same time through a side hustle, you won’t want to miss this conversation. Our guest this week on She Sells Radio is Kim Kesterke, a full-time mom, corporate employee, and real estate investor. She’s got over 15 years of experience managing her own portfolio and is passionate about helping you build a legacy of wealth. Today, she’s sharing how she does it and how you can too.    Kim has a robust background in both corporate and real estate investing spaces. Sales were her first job out of college, and shortly after that, she was looking to purchase a house. In 2006, the market was on fire, and in 2008, it crashed--she was underwater at 28. So, she had to pivot and find renters for her properties. Every year she added a few more properties, eventually building up enough passive income that she can do that and hold a full-time job.    Her mindset was based on failure not being an option. Being open to opportunity is key in this journey. Flexibility, now more than ever, is becoming necessary. For many, it’s time to start looking at options and going down that path. Having certainty and understanding what is available to you when you remove failure is powerful.    It’s important to know that sales is a rollercoaster. There will be good and bad days! The truth is, it’s about perseverance and having patience. Uncovering motivation will lead to a rewarding feeling.     Katie’s approach to success when starting something new and building recognition quickly was grounded in networking and introducing herself to clients. She started expanding by building relationships and getting introduced to other projects. Quarterly reviews allowed for her to identify other opportunities. Additionally, video is key. It helps build credibility and allows people to see who you are as a person. If you have no client base at all, start talking to people face to face via video!   Discomfort can sneak it’s way in when starting with video. Remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect. Get it out there! Keep at it, and eventually, you get used to getting visible. When you’re in front of a customer in person or over the phone, you’re not perfect. Why is video any different? People relate to individuals who aren’t perfect. Clients and prospects are real people too. There is a need for what you have, they just need to feel like their making a good decision.    Real estate can be a real cash flow. Katie went from being an accidental landlord to having an impressive landlord. For a woman looking to break into this industry, it starts with research and learning how to analyze the field. You make money on the purchase. Look for different houses in your price range on platforms like Zillow, but also consider consulting with REIA, Real Estate Investment Associations. There, you can talk through wholesalers--people who find good off-market deals. Work with investment-friendly agents for the best results!   Once you’ve started, it’s time to grow. Katie really liked the neighborhood her first property was in. She discovered that her area’s market was a good place to invest. She invested in duplex and triplex because with a conventional loan, one unit pays the mortgage, and the other is pure cashflow. By adding one or two properties each year, she steadily increases that income. You will hit a point that is comfortable to you where you can give your tenants your attention and balance your full-time job.    Trusting yourself is a big part of real estate. Listening to your instincts happens frequently. Getting an application from a contractor is a good example. If you get a bad feeling, it’s probably best to avoid that situation. Things will happen, you’re going to learn. There will be moments where you’ll realize that you could’ve (or should’ve) listened to that intuition.   LINKS   Thew2landlord.com to download a 30-day back to basic real estate guide!   Join the Facebook Group: The W2 Landlord

  • 78 - The Courage to Begin Again w/ Laura Meyer
What would it take for you to step away from a multiple 7-figure business to start over new? Our guest this week on She Sells Radio, Laura Meyer, did just that. She works as a growth strategist, helping women breakthrough through into the next step through her own lived experience. Today, she’s going to discuss what questions you can ask yourself when you feel stuck, how to get to 6-figures, and how to have the courage to begin again.    Laura started her journey as an entrepreneur a few years out of college with a photography business that she eventually franchised and grew to multimillion-dollar levels. After some time, she realized this just wasn’t for her. So, she began again, leaving that business. And when that door began to close, she allowed it to close. After that, she opened her eyes to all the other opportunities she could find herself diving into. Now that she had that freedom, she was able to align her work with what she was passionate about, consulting and brand building.

Elyse discusses the reality of understanding growth isn’t linear. Sometimes you need to shift, pivot, and allow yourself to move on to something new.   So, how do know when it’s time to make that move? What do you need to do to get comfortable with that mentality? Laura mentions that it’s OKAY to feel uncomfortable and low at points, but that doesn’t mean your worth is any less. She reminds us that we are not tied to what we do. We are still people outside of what our professional lives and actions and histories say. Self-worth is internal and independent of whatever else is happening. Beginning again isn’t when something ends, it’s when transformation starts. It’s about finding joy and making what you do joyful.   If you feel stuck or plateaued, Laura suggests taking inventory of what you’re doing and considering the effort v.s. Outcome. It’s valuable to be able to say ‘no.’ For many people, they keep adding on ‘yes’ without trimming off unneeded effort. Find what you need to get rid of and make that leap! Run the numbers and find what is bringing in the most amount of revenue--often times it can be something that takes the least work. Look for the shortest distance between where you want to be and where you are.    Laura discusses how we need to be very intentional about who we allow to have access to our lives. It can be difficult to have those hard conversations and can end in conflict. The truth is, if that relationship will end there, that is where they were destined to go. It’s much more effective to nip it in the bud and get ahead of the exhaustion that comes with making those cuts too late. Listen to your intuition and make the move. In the end, others can find other positions, but this is your livelihood.    When it comes to sales, Laura approaches it from a relationship standpoint. Many people look at sales from the perspective of getting from a client. She suggests flipping that to “what can I provide?” She’s most interested in helping them. If she isn’t the right person, she can find someone who is. Be secure in your offer and how you can create value! Come from a place of serving and intuition, following your feminine mindset to see maximum results. We forget that it’s fundamental demand, offer, and matching those to your audience. It’s not about what you’re worth.   Laura’s advice for women trying to break into 6 figures is all about having a clear vision. Be open to how that vision shows up. Be committed in the ‘why’ and flexible in the ‘how.’ Beyond that, let it be fun!    Tune in to hear Laura’s closing tips and words of wisdom!

  • 77 - Why You Should Bet On Yourself w/ Marie Deveaux
This week’s episode of She Sells Radio surrounds one of the most important concepts in sales. How often do you look outside of yourself for validation? While there is value there, the answers you seek are within yourself. This week, Elyse is sitting down with Marie Deveaux, an executive leadership coach whose mission is to magnify the voices and agency of women and minorities in their workspaces. She’ll share her personal experience, and break down why it’s essential to bet on yourself, how to be confident while being visible, and how to get out of our own way when growing our business.    Marie’s passion is very personal. She works and has worked in the non-profit and corporate sectors, uplifting marginalized voices in every way. When she found herself in a situation where her manager was actively working against her, she felt as though she needed to leave. There was a lack of trust and a lack of respect. When that time came, she pivoted to her coaching career. She teaches and believes that we spend a lot of time outsourcing our worthiness when in reality validation won’t always come from those we seek it out from. It’s important to find it within.    Marie’s relationship with sales is rooted in authenticity. At first, she was avoidant of sales because she didn’t like the idea of being “sold” something--forcing someone to need or want a product. When she entered the non-profit sector selling after-school programs, she realized sales isn’t sleazy when you truly believe in the service you’re selling. Then, it’s providing value. And you get to pay the bills! Money is a tool and there has to be an exchange. Money isn’t the goal. It’s a byproduct of doing what you love.   A lot of Marie’s sales work is based around uplifting women of color. In a broad sense, translating what you’ve learned and your passions to your job can be difficult. What happens when you sell for yourself, you’re attached to that validation. For women of color, often times the spaces they are in are not validating in any way. There is an expectation of “proving” themselves before they get any recognition. Being told to be quiet, fighting for promotions, you name it, are all part of working for someone else. When that shifts into working for yourself, that validation becomes incredibly personal. This manifests in a negative way--making yourself small and not trusting that you are worthy of the sale. Marie reminds us to not get attached to the result. If they aren’t a fit, that isn’t a reflection of your worth.    So, how do we start to validate ourselves? The starting point is unearthing it for yourself. What works for one person isn’t going to work for you. It’s about accepting that exploring can be fun! In a corporate environment, you can be given a script--and in an actual conversation, the script doesn’t feel right--it’s because it’s not. You aren’t allowed to be yourself. As an entrepreneur, you get to create it all yourself. It’s a sandbox! Check-in--does my process make sense for me? It should feel aligned and authentic to who you are.    Becoming visible is an intimidating concept. It can feel vulnerable putting yourself out there. Marie reminds us that nervousness doesn’t equal bad. It means you care! Additionally, don’t forget that you are coming from a place of service. When you show up, you’re in a position to bless people. The tension surrounding judgment can be released--you’re solving a problem--don’t overthink it. Part of the beauty of being visible is you’re never done growing. Get clear on who you serve, the problem you solve, and where your passions lie.    LINKS   Mariedeveaux.com   Marie Deveaux on LinkedIn   Interested in getting to know yourself and jump into entrepreneurship? • 76 - How to Fall in Love w/ Sales and Create Money on Demand w/ Allyson Chavez
Shownotes   How would you like to learn how to sell from a woman who went from being broke to making over $230,000 in 6 months? What about a woman who went from absolutely hating sales to falling in love with it? Lucky for us, that person is our guest today. Allyson Chavez is a prosperity transformation coach and teaches others how to manage their thoughts and energy so they can get out of their own way, consistently hit their targets, and love their lives as they redesign their reality. Today, Allyson is sitting down to talk with us about the tactical mindset she’s adopted, how she thinks about money, and how she did it all in such a short period of time.    Eight years ago, Allyson made the choice to leave her current company and start her own coaching business. She dove headfirst, showered in self-doubt, exhausted, and living through a very masculine-based sales mindset. Simply put, her mental energy was expended and wasn’t a sustainable way to scale her business healthily. The harder she worked, the harder she fell.    Allyson’s journey is one from rock bottom to soaring success. She found herself at a point of ‘financial armageddon’ where she was spending more than she could afford, leaving her in 90k of personal credit card debt. She loved what she was doing, but she wasn’t in a healthy place. So, she made a dramatic mindset shift. She put what was causing her pain on the back-burner, starting hustling on the side through full-time jobs and even becoming a crossing guard. Through that, she realized there was something about a mindset that was crucial to her success. Through intentional breakdowns of her process and understanding what money is on a spiritual level, she was able to explode her business into a massive, money-making endeavor.    We’re often taught to play the inner game not to lose as opposed to playing that inner game to get ahead. It’s focused on strategy with no weight put on the emotional and spiritual side of things. When that game is won internally, the external self reaps the benefits as well.    First and foremost, money is energy, Allyson says. And energy is naturally inclined to expand. We are wired for expansion and increase--money is a tool for growth. If you don’t set your sights on that next goal, you can quickly slip into self-destructive habits. Money by itself doesn’t fill the need for security at a foundational level--money is a channel, not a source. As far as money goes, many people make it God. Your connection to higher power needs to be the source.    It’s about centering your agenda around making yourself happy--even 2 minutes at a time. Taking her family on a trip was, in Allyson’s opinion, incredibly purposeful. She didn’t care about cost because for a few moments they were able to breathe. So often we have a locked-in mentality of trying to manipulate our circumstances. When we are able to pull away from that and realizing it isn’t working, clarity occurs. When we make it okay to feel pleasure, we are able to manifest our genuine needs. Be simple about it! It’s not all about sophistication and having your ducks in a row--these are masks. There is sophistication in simplicity. What happens when you release the pressure on yourself?   Sales and Allyson’s relationship was not so good. In fact, Allyson HATED sales. She went through an experience where she unabashedly wrote her true feelings on a piece of paper and destroyed it. This cathartic experience helped come to terms with the fact that despite her successes, sales felt bad. She was obsessed with scripts and tangible, laid out, step by step, inauthentic sales.    When she shifted her beliefs to tell herself she was a master of sales and could convert whenever she wanted, she realized that sales calls are all about relationships. A script is important to keep you on the rails and in control, it’s not what should drive the conversation. You are here to offer something that you think is a good fit. If they don’t want that, then you know you don’t have to push them towards that. It isn’t about manipulation or creating a problem. The truth is, if you position yourself intentionally, most people will want what you have to offer based on your prospecting. People want what they want and they can want it a lot--but unless there is a MUST, it won’t happen. STOP looking for people who can afford you and start looking for people who will do whatever it takes to work with you. You’ll know the client isn’t at that “must” level, you offer a scale for them to land on where their comfort is.    LINKS   Allysonchavez.com   Prosperity Experience Group on Facebook

  • 75 - How to Close 90% of Your Sales w/ Sherrine Washington
Closing sales can quickly become a daunting task if it’s not your forte. Sometimes, wrapping up a sale can be the hardest part of a conversation and can make or break your outcome. This week on She Sells Radio, Elyse is sitting down with a mastermind in the art of closing. A former Mental Health and Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, Sherrine Washington developed a system that allows her to consistently reach an 85-90% same-day closing rate on sales of $25,000-$55,000 through the psychology of selling. Today, she’s breaking down how exactly she does that.    Sherrine’s approach to selling has always been against the grain. By leading a conversation with her client’s needs first, as opposed to her own goals and expectations, she saw a massive increase in closed sales. She has a Master’s degree in the counseling field, which she applies to her sales philosophy, deeply rooted in the psychology of selling.    Sherrine’s methodology of selling is designed to remain authentic while making a sale. By building an organic relationship, she is able to move the client forward in the sales process without an ask and close the sale naturally. Through her personal journey surviving obesity, Sherrine learned that by leading someone through a process, you allow them to make decisions unimpeded. She uses a simple transitional statement: “The next step in the process is…” Because you’ve shown them the steps and built a rapport, the close happens organically.    Sherrine takes us through the high-level steps of her R.E.A.L Talk Selling™ System. She primarily works in the elective surgery field, which can be difficult in many cases. This means getting them an appointment and scheduling the procedure.   With her system, she begins her sales process at first interaction, which is often over the phone. This is where you get to know the client. It needs to feel that you have all day--unlimited time--to talk with this person. Most people don’t expect that level of engagement over the phone. There is an emphasis on tone, silences, and the quest to find who that person is. From there, the next step, getting them in the office, is natural. Between those moments, you make yourself readily available for that person as though you’ve known them your whole life. By the time they’re in the office, you’ve become friends and they’re looking for you.    These genuine acts of care set you apart in a crowded field. Sherrine believes in sharing stories. When she talks to potential clients and there is a challenge, she refers to a memory of a similar situation and the solution. People like to know they are not alone in the hurdles they face. It’s about asking “what else?”    Sherrine reminds us to not hold back due to fear of rejection. The reality is there are people out there that need you. Be fearless in your questions and be curious about who the person is. It’s all about building relationships and slowing down.    There can be an immense amount of pressure to put food on the table, hit metrics from corporate, and sustain your income. It can be even harder when you’re good. This happened to Sherrine--especially with pressure from higher-ups. She fed her mind and soul to combat the noise. Setting the tone of her day with positivity is a difference-maker. Lifelong education and having a pathway to constant improvement is essential.    In closing, Sherrine’s advice is that everyone should have a coach. In order to take it to the next level, guidance is essential. Invest in improving. You can either stay where you are and do nothing, or you can be fearless.   LINKS   https://realtalkselling.com/

  • 74 - Learning to Trust Yourself w/ Samantha Skelly
While it might not seem obvious why today’s topic is at the core of your success, it’s a major aspect of achieving your income goals and learning to sell in a way that is authentic to you. On this episode, we’re talking about trusting yourself. Suppressing emotions, negative internalization, and societal pressures can hold you back from accomplishing what you’re here to do. Our guest today is Samantha Skelly, a seven-figure entrepreneur, speaker, and wellness coaching expert. She’s here today to talk about breathwork and the depths of understanding and trust it can take us.    Samantha’s journey included an incredibly difficult relationship with food. There was a deeply rooted distrust of herself in regards to food. She wasn’t sure if she’d be able to handle the outcome. Her connection with uncertainty was a stress point. She lived with relentless self-doubts and inner criticisms that bled into every aspect of her life. Eventually, she hit a point where she lost sight of who she was. When you live without that trust and don’t have a healthy relationship with uncertainty, Samantha says, you force yourself to live only with what is known--and that’s a fraction of what’s possible. Now, with determination and resilience, it’s clear that intuition is trustworthy and it’s easier to take risks. Because no matter what happens, you will persist. When you can’t handle the ‘no’ it’s impossibly hard to chase the ‘yes.’ When you don’t attach your self-worth to rejection, you’re free to achieve.    Starting the process of learning to trust ourselves can be daunting. Samantha says it’s en embodied experience. Living through change is the only want to truly witness it. She breaks it down into three pillars of connection: mind, emotions, and intuition. Using techniques like mediation, breathwork, or whatever it is, we can really tap into the intuition aspect at a foundational level, that opens pathways to trust. In doing that, you can ask and answer so many questions of yourself and understand that the signals you feel are worth listening to. Because we have so much evidence from our mind and intelligence, it tends to override intuition. But with work, those moments are lead with in-tune actions.    So, how do you know what a “yes” and “no” feels like? Samantha suggests starting with a definite “yes” question. Then, ask a definite “no.” Begin to feel the contractions in the system. Your body knows the answer before your mind does. It takes time to reclaim a relationship you’ve lost for a long time. It’s good to create a commitment to coming home to ourselves, feelings awaken. Be gentle!    A big player in reconnecting with trusting yourself is making peace and becoming comfortable with uncertainty. Especially right now, it’s abundant. Samantha says it’s about managing your variables. Finding and creating a felt sense of safety emotionally is essential. Without it, it’s challenging to go out on a limb because you don’t have that trust built in your body. She uses breathwork to work on rooting herself in stabilizing her understanding that worthiness isn’t tied to rejection or failure. Know what your essential, concrete needs are in place, you can relax. Emotionally, know that you have internal stability that will remain no matter what’s thrown at you.    The path to healing is in no small part driven by your relationship with anxiety, Samantha mentions. It’s not who you are, but has a message and lesson that we can learn from. When you experience it, ask yourself what it is you need. How can you lean into the source and ask it? Learning acceptance of it, as opposed to resisting it, allows you to understand what its cause is and allows you to toggle in and out of it when there is something to learn.    Samantha practices and teaches breathwork. This practice helps you unhook your mind and get into the body to access intuition. For her, breathing is the path of least resistance to that. First thing in the morning, before bed, and throughout the day, breathing is a tool to recenter.  Two breaths in through the chest and belly and out through the mouth, followed by a deep breath in, holding it at the top, and releasing. Just that is enough to shift the energy and clear your mind.    Tune in to go through a breathing exercise with Samantha at the end of today’s episode and try it for yourself!    LINKS   https://www.hungryforhappiness.com/hungry-for-happiness-book/   https://www.hungryforhappiness.com/become-a-coach/   https://www.samanthaskelly.com/

  • 73 - She Sells Radio w/ Elyse Archer
Welcome to the first episode of Elyse Archer’s podcast, She Sells Radio! Each week, join Elyse Archer, Personal Brand Strategist and Video Confidence Coach, as she shares strategies and ideas from today’s top personal brands and relationship builders on how to cut through the noise, became known in your space, and build deep, meaningful relationships with your network and audience. If you’re looking for actionable advice on how to elevate your influence, income, and impact, this is the show for you!   If you’re a long-time listener, welcome back. And if this is your first time tuning in, welcome, and thank you for joining us! It’s been a short break since the last podcast episode, but Elyse is back, better than ever. In the past, Elyse was unable to discuss a major passion and area of expertise--sales. But now, there’s nothing holding her back from helping you achieve beyond what you could have ever expected.    The creation of this brand, She Sells Radio, is based on a concept Elyse built with her team, Brand Builders: you’re best positioned to help your former self. While Elyse has worked with mostly male clients, she was being called to something greater, and for her, that was serving women. In the past, the way that she would achieve goals was not always in her best interest--less sleep, clients who didn’t respect her, and things generally became a detriment to her wellbeing. She didn’t believe that she deserved boundaries and had to chameleon herself into whatever the client wanted. From there, she lost her sense of self. It didn’t end professionally though, as that same mentality bled into personal relationships and eventually turned into incredibly difficult mental health challenges Elyse had to overcome. So, she started to release and remember. Release the negative aspects of those areas and remember who she is and what she is passionate about. If you are on part of that journey, Elyse says, there is so much power inside of you when you show up as you are. Stripping away layers that keep you from your truth will allow you to follow your feelings and act on intuitive emotion.    As a woman, you think differently. So often in sales, there is a scarcity mindset that is incredibly linear and manufactures pain to make a sale. In all honesty, Elyse shares, that just feels gross. There is so much power in feminine instinct in this context. When we can learn to trust ourselves and do things differently, that’s where the magic happens. It’s not about being a robot and cranking out calls, it’s about embracing your whole self. You’ve had it all along, it’s just about bringing it to the table.    So, how can we sell and build a business in a way that feels good? This show and the intention of She Sells Radio is to redefine sales in that way. We’re getting hard-hitting, tactical strategy in a way that feels good to you and to the person you’re serving. We’re going to identify what works and what needs to shift and change.    Elyse shares three things she wishes she would’ve known or remembered as her younger self.   First, trust yourself. Your instincts may not make logical sense--in fact, they probably won’t. Elyse didn’t trust her feminine instincts and cut them off from the work that she did, but now, it’s clear that those feelings are where the power lives. It is what creates the quantum jump to exactly where you need to go in less time. The key is to stay in your heart and not your head. Stop looking for approval outside of you.   Second, give yourself permission to do things differently. Elyse worked her way up in a really successful business, but the thinking was very inside the box. At one point, Elyse decided to break the mold and send a video email to a potential client. It wasn’t polished by any means, but she let him know that she wanted to connect and she had that person on her mind. Wouldn’t you know it, he responded instantly. You’re being called to do things differently. It’s a good thing.    The third thing Elyse would tell her younger self is this: your relationship with money is really about your relationship with yourself. The reality you create for yourself around how much love and support you deserve is reflected in how you feel about money. When you don’t feel worthy, it’ll manifest and will become a cycle. When you’re in that toxic struggle, you can’t show up for those you serve.    Moving forward, you’ll be introduced to wonderful and intelligent people in the sales ecosphere through interviews, as well as some solo episodes where Elyse will share with us her own experience and expertise.    If you or someone you know has crossed the 6-figure mark, wants to come on and talk about the journey of growth in sales, please feel free to reach out to Elyse at [email protected].   Elyse put together a guide for you on how to create a 6-figure morning routine. A morning routine is something Elyse attributes much of her success to, so head to elysearcher.com/morningroutine to grab that and structure your day for success.    LINKS   Elysearcher.com  elysearcher.com/morningroutine
