GUEST BIO:
Candis Hickman is a Personal Brand Strategist and Founder of The Miami Girl Society. Through her work she helps coaches and creative entrepreneurs simplify their brand story and identify the strategies they need to grow and strengthen their community, build their influence and become known online. Growing up in Australia as the daughter of a pastor, Candis was all too familiar with the tendency to avoid the spotlight in the name of “humility”, so now she encourages women to get loud and proud, bragging about their gifts and illuminating their talents in service of other people.
Candis started her professional career at the age of 21, having graduated from university as an Occupational Therapist, but it wasn’t long before a move to the US rendered her degrees useless. Confused and clueless, she spent much of her 20’s exploring different career paths from hosting a local TV show to picking up gigs as a sports model. In 2014 she found herself in a health coaching program and shortly after inducted into the world of online business. Over the course of the next few years she realized that her natural gift was in cultivating community and inspiring women to brand themselves for success in the online world.
When she’s not working (which is rare!), you’ll find her hanging at the beach with a good book and some watermelon!

Christina Scalera is the attorney and founder behind The Contract Shop, a contract template store for creative entrepreneurs, wedding professionals, and coaches. Three years ago, Christina found herself dreaming of pursuing a more creative path, and she started to look for alternatives to her in-house legal job. She explored everything from teaching yoga to becoming a freelance graphic designer to opening an Etsy shop.
In the process, she ended up coming full circle by creating a business that brought the benefit of her legal training to help her fellow creatives. When she’s not staring at a computer or awkwardly standing on cafe chairs for the perfect overhead latte photo, you can find her in the woods doing things that are sometimes dangerous but always fun, like riding horses, skiing and reluctantly camping.

GUEST BIO:
A wanderer at heart, Amy at Paperfinch Design creates inspirational and wanderlusty art and gift products in order to help people tell their story. She wants to help people illustrate and find the inspiration in their own journey – where they're going, where they've been, or their favorite life motto.
Amy fully believes that life is a daring adventure and wants to help you celebrate yours.
Listed as one of the top art sellers on Etsy, Amy has been featured on websites like People, Good Housekeeping, Fodor's, and Kohls. And she's been featured on HGTV's Instagram, so she practically knows Joanna Gaines (Hi, Jojo!)
Having hit one or two (or twelve) bumps in the road while building Paperfinch, Amy loves talking about how to Weatherproof Your Business - or how to keep it running even when Life Happens and you have to step away. She wants to help you prepare for if there's a family emergency, you're facing a big move...or if you just want to take a vacation. Or a nap.
She nerds out on all things small business and offers one-on-one consulting to help you scale yours to it's fullest potential.
