台北當代藝術館 MoCA on Air

What happens to art when an entire community becomes a museum? 

 

In this episode, we meet Thai artist collective Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts and Culture. They take us inside a pop-up museum staged across their community as part of a biennial, and an art experiment that invites people to apply to live in an apartment. These projects grew from their ongoing exploration of Thai–Myanmar relations and their efforts to connect small local communities.

 

Baan Noorg began with a return home. Working amid concrete buildings, everyday labor, and relationships within the community, they continue to reshape their practice in response to the people and places around them. Their work asks what art can become when it finds a place in shared life.

 

This season expands on the theme of MoCA TAIPEI’s 2026 exhibition Withdrawal: Our Collective Existence, exploring how contemporary artists approach collectivity as a form of knowledge production, a strategy for survival, and an aesthetic practice. The series features conversations with artist collectives, artist-run spaces, and self-organized initiatives from Taiwan and neighboring Asian countries. Through these conversations, we look at how artists activate spaces, cultivate diverse communities, and build creative practices and collective bonds—offering a glimpse into the fluid and evolving forms of collectivity in contemporary art across Taiwan and Asia.

Ileana Tu aka. Miss Bench

A travel-addicted curator, grassroots art critic, and observer of daily spectacles. Focuses on art institutions that exist in a “state of exception” between museums and galleries. By day, a museum professional; by night, she transforms into “Miss Bench” to conduct writing and curatorial experiments, using exhibitions to open up spaces for social dialogue.

jiandyin (ji b. Ratchaburi | yin b. Chiang Mai), are interdisciplinary duo artists and curators, live and work in Ratchaburi, Thailand. Their work is research-oriented, rooted in tangible and often overlooked realities–whether historical, political, social, and marginalization, body of work approaches various modes of expression and a wide range of disciplines and mediums, through collaborations and social engagement.

 

Krittaporn Mahaweerarat

Krittaporn Mahaweerarat (b. Loei) is an art practitioner currently pursuing an MFA in Public Art and New Artistic Strategies. Her practice questions her role within the communities she inhabits, exploring the intersection of magical realism and empirical reality through narratives that connect human and non-human realms.

 

Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts and Culture

Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts and Culture is a non-profit, artist-run initiative, a fundamental strategy for community development and a service-provider for artistic practice. Located in the Nongpho subdistrict, Ratchaburi, it aims to find out possibilities for exchange, integration and co-existence within the community—locally and globally, and to build up community sustainability according to the group’s claim: Baan Noorg is Future is Now.

當整個社區都能成為美術館，藝術如何融入在地日常？

 

本集邀請泰國藝術團體 Baan Noorg 藝術與文化合作社，分享他們如何讓雙年展以游擊形式出現在社區各處，並透過公開徵選，邀請住戶入住公寓、參與藝術實驗。這些計畫也是他們長期思考緬泰關係、連結在地小型社群的方式。 

 

從最初「返鄉」成立藝術團體開始，他們回到水泥建築、日常勞動與社群關係之中，不斷學習調整自己與作品的形狀，讓藝術不再等待一個標準的展示空間，而能在共同生活中找到自己的位置。

jiandyin

ji生於泰國拉差汶里府，yin生於泰國清邁，兩人組成跨領域藝術創作與策展雙人組，現居並工作於泰國拉差汶里府。其創作以研究為導向，立基於具體卻往往被忽略的現實，關注歷史、政治、社會與邊緣化處境等面向；創作透過協作與社會參與展開，表現形式多元，橫跨不同領域與媒材。

 

Krittaporn Mahaweerarat

生於泰國黎府，為藝術實踐者，目前於「公共藝術與新藝術策略」藝術創作碩士學程就讀。她的創作反思自身在所處社群中的角色，並透過連結人與非人世界的敘事，探索魔幻寫實與經驗現實的交會。

 

Baan Noorg 藝術與文化合作社

為非營利、由藝術家自主營運的倡議組織，以社區發展為核心策略，並為藝術實踐提供支持與服務。團體設於泰國拉差汶里府菩澤村（Nongpho），致力於探索在地與全球社群之間交流、整合與共存的可能，並秉持「Baan Noorg is Future is Now」（Baan Noorg 即未來，未來即現在）的理念，推動社區永續發展。

众藝術總監。出生於桃園的藝術家與藝術工作者，2017年與众藝術負責人邱鴻程共同創辦众藝術。她以地方的文化主題作為藝術場域的主體價值，結合各種領域（教育、社區與生活）與藝術產生對話，也透過藝術方法辦理各種不同的地方活動（市集、刊物與駐村）。

If an art space can be carried elsewhere, what exactly is being carried? In this episode, Vietnamese artist collective ba-bau AIR joins us to share how the image of a pregnant woman inspires their vision of a space full of energy and possibility. They bring this vision to life in an old French-style house in Hanoi, where living, creating, and caring for the space together blur the lines between artist and audience, host and guest—and between the physical and the intangible.

位於臺南，成立於2021年，由陳昱清與古伊琳共同經營。空間具展覽、演出、駐村與日常交流活動，以藝術創作、跨領域串聯為核心，提供藝術家創作實驗與共學的平台。多年來累積在地藝術社群，也持續建立國際交流網絡，進駐及自主交流藝術家來自世界各地，如日、韓、泰、印尼、歐美等。

 

古伊琳

不存在劇場負責人。1999年生於嘉義，現居臺南，畢業於國立成功大學不分系，輔系臺灣文學。從小跳舞十餘年，從事女性文學與身體表演藝術創作及研究，關注日常藝術實踐與理論轉化的可能，持續研究與實踐亞洲女性藝術社群的自主串連。

 

陳昱清

不存在劇場負責人。1994年生於臺南，畢業於臺北市立大學舞蹈學系、國立臺北藝術大學藝術跨域研究所。長期從事舞蹈演出與編創，2016年成立清製作，持續與不同領域創作者合作，關注劇場作為社群組織與交流平台的可能性。

How does an art collective live and make art together? In this episode, we are joined by Adi from Pangrok Sulap—a collective rooted in the punk rock spirit and the rural communities of Sabah. He shares what it means to build a life and artistic practice together, transforming local memories and shared struggles into powerful woodcut prints.

 

This season expands on the theme of MoCA TAIPEI’s 2026 exhibition Withdrawal: Our Collective Existence, exploring how contemporary artists approach collectivity as a form of knowledge production, a strategy for survival, and an aesthetic practice. The series features conversations with artist collectives, artist-run spaces, and self-organized initiatives from Taiwan and neighboring Asian countries. Erica Yu-Wen Huang holds a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from University of Leicester, United Kingdom. Formerly Curator of Exhibition and Learning at Centre for Heritage, Arts & Textile (CHAT), Hong Kong and Adjunct Lecturer of Applied Art Institute at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Huang is an independent curator based in Taipei. Her curatorial research focuses on hybrid cultures, migration history, geopolitics, and the dynamics between nature, human beings and the environment.

Adi Helmi Jaini (b. 1989, Sabah, Malaysia) is a printmaker, spoken word poet, and art director based in Kota Kinabalu. He is part of Pangrok Sulap, a collective known for its woodcut practice and strong connection to community work. Much of his artistic journey is shaped through this collective—working together to carve, print, and create images that reflect shared experiences.

How does coffee culture shape the community and practice of an artist-run space in Indonesia? 本季節目發想自當代館2025年最後一檔展覽「宇宙寫生」中展出的作品——《15年工作室》。

邀請豪華朗機工成員，在團隊成軍十五年間歷經三間工作室裡，挑選三件別具意義的物件，分享附著在物與空間上既陌生又熟悉的記憶。

本季四集音檔將是真假難辨的記憶幻象所留下的聲音痕跡。

《15年工作室》

工作室，對我們來說，是最神聖也最神秘的地方。

延伸自昆穎的「美好的陌生」系列——將熟悉的場景化為略帶疏離的幻想。畫布上的顏料，代表實體與唯一；投影的光影，代表虛擬與複製。當兩者交織，時空變得抽象，像是你明明到過的地方，卻又無法確定何時何地。

這次的版本，我們將畫面換成三個曾經的工作室場景：

2010–2013｜西門町四樓工作室

窄小卻充滿靈光的獨棟空間，許多初期的實驗與作品從這裡誕生。

2013–2023｜北投廠房工作室

開放的大空間容納了大型裝置製作，也容納了我們對創作的野心。

2023–至今｜科教館工作室

與人群共處的環境，讓創作更貼近交流與公共性。

【講者】

豪華朗機工

成軍於2010年，由藝術家張耿豪、張耿華、陳乂及林昆穎組成。作品以混種跨界為創作概念，作品風格走向以簡潔乾淨形式表現出輕鬆意境，取材於自然環境，討論奇觀社會中的人性思維，在科技及人文之中取得和諧，激發創意，並利用「音樂、視覺、裝置、文本」共陳手法，使面向千變萬化。

【講者】

張耿華

畢業於國立臺灣藝術大學雕塑學系，為藝術團隊「豪華朗機工」成員，曾和張耿豪組成「豪華兄弟」。擅長以流暢造型與線條營造意象，創作中常結合齒輪、感應器、馬達等機械元素，並透過動力裝置、燈光與影像轉化為具夢境質地的場景。持續在合體與個體的創作身份間展開實踐，並跨界參與劇場、電影與電視之美術製作。
