Long-time BBQ competitor and United States Navy veteran Sterling Smith of Loot ’N Booty BBQ has won numerous grand championships over the years, but his latest ranks at or near the top. Sterling and his team captured the BBQ division at the World Food Championships last weekend in Dallas, earning $10,000 and a berth in the WFC finals next spring. On Episode 189 of the Tailgate Guys BBQ Podcast we hear from Sterling about his winning dish (an awesome and unique take on smoked brisket), his reflections on 2022 and his must-have side and dessert for Thanksgiving.
