The ultimate combination of food and football arrives this Sunday and we take a preview of Super Bowl XVII on Episode 197 of the Tailgate Guys BBQ Podcast. First up, representing the Kansas City Chiefs, is Megan Day of Burnt Finger BBQ. Megan, a former Food Network Chopped Grillmasters champion, will be featured on NBC’s Today Show at 8:30 a.m. Friday showing off the best of Kansas City-style BBQ. But first, we ask Megan about her food plans for Super Sunday, how to improve your open-fire cooking experience and what’s ahead for Burnt Finger BBQ in 2023. 

We then take a trip to suburban Philadelphia to get the Eagles’ angle on the match-up from Rob Weber, owner/pitmaster of Weber’s Backyard BBQ. Rob, a former firefighter who now has a food truck, also is a KCBS competitor in the mid-Atlantic region. He serves up some Philly-themed ideas for the big game that include some unique spins on the classic Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich that we all are familiar with.
