We're BACK! We explain the brief hiatus, and are a glad to be back in action. Lots to dive into this episode. It is bone dry here in West TN and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight. We talk about the effects of the heat and drought, as well as the difference of planting green vs burned down. Then we get into the grand conspiracy that is the cattle that died due to the heat wave. We explain the unfortunate side that it has turned political.

Lot of ground covered in this one. We answer a listener question about various cattle breeds, and using certain metrics to decide on the route to go. We are again rainy out here, and behind on crop planting. We share some of the difficulties we have faced in that area, and the frustrations with it. Lastly, we cover a wild story out of New Mexico, and Maine. It's a sad story that resulted in the euthanizing of an entire herd of cattle, and the ultimate end of a diary cattle operation.

This episode is really a smorgasbord of sorts. We talk about the supply chain getting worse and worse, and what we think might could turn it around. A little bit of the costs involved today with farming, blocking idiots online, how farmers set their own schedule, and we talk about the crazy fires in New Mexico. We hope y'all enjoy this episode.

This episode we discuss a few interesting topics. First, Logan shares a wild nearly very bad fiasco he had happen, and Bobby Lee relives a similar situation he had. They then dive right in to the topic at hand. Sustainability of manure, and natural fertilizers. They talk about the only way we can try and truly get back to the roots of agriculture that people crave to see. Lots of good discussion in this episode, and we hope that you enjoy it!

We're joined this episode by a friend from way back! Aaron Wenger used to live in Tennessee but eventually found his way back to Iowa and now farms full-time. Hear him share his story of running nearly 5,000 hogs, and how they use that in their row crop operation. We had a blast chatting with him, and hope you enjoy hearing a little inside discussion on farming in another state.

Who gets up earlier, row crop farmers or livestock farmers? Whats the reason for getting up so early? Also what kind of major lifestyle shifts come with being a farmer? We discuss the difficulties of traveling, and the anxieties that come along with it. Why do some farmers never want to leave their dirt? Lots of great discussion in this episode and we hope you enjoy it.
