This week the gals discuss the heinous government experiments known as MKUltra. Jeepers Creepers!

Back in the 1950s, during the Cold and Korean Wars, the C.I.A. were a paranoid government agency, terrified of Communism and being the last in the global race to control the human mind. The C.I.A. went on a decades long mission to see if they could break and control the mind via LSD and other drugs, torture techniques including physical, emotional, mental and sexual abuse, and various other "brainwashing" techniques... on some knowing, and very often unknowing and unconsenting, American and Canadian citizens; often looking for those that they found "expendable".

This is the first of a two-parter on MKUltra and Ted Kaczynski, the UNAbomber, because guess who had MKUltra experiments done on him as a teenager at Harvard... that's right, Kaczynski! So if you sometimes listen out of order, make sure to tune in to this episode before you listen to next week's!

This week the gals talk about notoriously brutal Australian cult, The Family. Jeepers Creepers!

Ash dives into the life of Anne Hamilton-Byrne, and how she eventually became the leader of a yoga/LSD/baby-napping/Children of the Corn cult. Born Evelyn Edwards, Anne grew up poor and spent time in orphanages in rich neighborhoods as a child. Seeing how the upperclass lived, she always knew that she wanted a piece of the pie. When Evelyn's first husband died, she reinvented herself as a glamorous yoga teacher and medium named Anne Hamilton. Preaching a mishmash of Christianity, Eastern mysticism and apocalyptic prophecy, she convinced hundreds that she was Jesus, using large quantities of LSD on her members and herself. One day she had a vision that the world was going to end in some horrific way and that she needed to start a master race of children who would be left to re-educate what's left of the world. So she basically began stealing babies and made them all look alike, with the same clothes, haircuts and bleached blonde hair. Likely going for a Von Trapp family vibe, she gave them more of a Children of the Corn look. And things only get more insane and tragic from there.... it's not just yoga you guys!!

This week the gals talk about the infamous serial rapist Billy Milligan. Jeepers Creepers!

This fascinating and extremely divisive case revolves around "The Campus Rapist" Billy Milligan. Milligan was the subject of a recent true crime Netflix docu-series, Monsters Inside: The 24 Faces of Billy Milligan. Ash goes over Billy's traumatic childhood, when his Dissociative Identity Disorder may or may not have appeared, some of the crimes that he began to commit in his adolescence after several identities apparently appeared when Billy tried to commit suicide at 16, and up to the rapes that earned him the moniker The Campus Rapist. Cam then talks about Billy's arrest, his subsequent and very controversial diagnosis of what was then called Multiple Personality Disorder and the discovery of his supposed 24 personalities. She also covers his media circus of a trial, his time living in a minimum security mental hospital and the shenanigans that went on there, his fame and fortune, and the possible murders that he may have later committed!

Happy Sunday friends! We know how hard it can be to wait a whole week to hear the second half of a two parter, so part two is dropping today!⁠ The gals finish talking about the infamous Milwaukee Cannibal, Jeffrey Dahmer. Jeepers Creepers!

Ash covers Dahmer's second through seventeenth victims. After committing his first murder just three weeks after his high school graduation in 1978, Dahmer kept his murderous tendencies under wraps for the next nine years. He killed his second victim in a hotel room in a reported blackout in 1987 and continued to ramp things up from there. He initially murdered and dismembered victims in grandma's basement, but when young Dahmer got a place of his own, what started off as some casual necrophelia soon turned into cannibalism, and he eventually started going down the infamous human-zombie-sex-slave road. The gals also discuss how Dahmer was finally caught and how his own murder took place!
