Dr. Taryn Marie is the founder of Resilience Leadership Institute. She previously served as the Head of Executive Leadership Development at Nike as well as Cigna. Dr. Taryn is also a global keynote speaker and has appeared on the Ted stage with a talk titled “How Resilience Breaks Us Out of Our Vulnerability Cage.”
For the past 20 years, Dr. Taryn has been working with brain patients and found that most popular beliefs about human resilience are incorrect. Since then, she has conducted qualitative research on the power of resilience, studying the science behind why some people succeed and others failed. This led to her writing her New York Times bestselling book, “The 5 Practices of Highly Resilient People: Why Some Flourish When Others Fold.
