The Activity Continues

This week we are celebrating our 100th episode! We all met at Amy’s house and made cocktails and just enjoyed seeing each other in person for the first time in 3 months! So we’ve edited together just the moments when we talked about The Dead Files (with a few side tangents, but not to the extent that we actually did IRL).

We did a debrief of our conversation with Dead Files client, Laura Lane (episode 99) too. So if you haven’t listened to that one yet, do that before you click play here. There are spoilers a plenty!

If you’re interested in the FULL version, please head over to Spotify, YouTube or Patreon to watch the whole shit show.

The Dead Files episode we talked about is “Family Curse” S2 E7 on Max. Original air date: December 21, 2012.

We hope you enjoy it. Pour yourself a French 75 and join us for a sparkling wine-enhanced episode where The Activity Continues.

Content Warning:

In this episode we discuss racism, KKK, anorexia, suicide (firearm and hanging), murder, child death, and a demon child.

This is a general content warning, many of the episodes of the TV show talk about murders, some even involving children. So that may come up in our conversation as well. So please proceed with that in mind. But if you already watch The Dead Files you’ll be prepared.

Also, while Amy, Cindy, and Steve's swears are bleeped on TV, ours are not.

The Activity Continues is a paranormal podcast where soul friends, Amy, Megan, and AP chat about pets, true crime, ghost stories, haunts, dreams, and other paranormal stuff including the TV show, The Dead Files. We also sometimes interview interesting people, whether it be a paranormal professional, a Dead Files client, or a listener with spooky stories.

This episode was recorded on January 19, 2024, and released on February 22, 2024.

This week we sat down with Laura Lane. She is the client from The Dead Files “Bound” Season 4 Episode 10.

She dropped some super amazing truth bombs about her experience on the Dead Files. Some of it we suspected and some of it blew us away! If you had strong feeling about “Bound” when you watched it, we highly recommend listening to this one. You will be surprised to learn what really happened.

We talked about the way the show has changed over the years. Laura told us about her mediumship and how she has developed since Amy Allan told her she has abilities.

Laura was amazing, we adore her and are so appreciative of her taking the time to join us.

And remember, don’t judge the client by the cut.

You’re going to hear two censor beeps, that was when Laura mentioned some family members’ names and we cut it.

Shake yourself up a Laura Lane signature cocktail (recipe courtesy of Pourhouse 222) and join us where The Activity Continues.

Stay in your MF-ing Lane

1.25 oz Titos Vodka

.75 oz pomegranate juice

1 lemon, muddled1 lemon, muddled

2 full drippers of White Balsamic

1 oz white cranberry juice

.5 oz simple syrup

2 dash ginger bitters

top with ginger ale.

Content Warning:

In this episode we mention racism, the KKK, murder, suicide, and a short mention of someone in history who kicked dogs, so trigger warning for those who need it. Also, we swear.

This is a general content warning, many of the episodes of the TV show talk about murders, some even involving children. So that may come up in our conversation as well. So please proceed with that in mind. But if you already watch The Dead Files you’ll be prepared.

This week we are discussing The Dead Files “No Vacancy” (Season 6 Episode 3) which aired April 16, 2016.

We also ranked the grossest of cats, dogs, and kids. Some TV shows we’re enjoying, and weirdly named pizza restaurants. It’s fine, we’re fine, everything’s fine.

Content Warning:

In this episode we mention boogers, snot, and poop, along in our conversation about what’s grossest. Also some mental illness, suicide, fires, beatings, murder, and sexy dancing. So trigger warning for those who need it. Also, we swear.

This week we are recapping The Dead Files “Lust to Kill” (Season 8 Episode 10) which aired August 26, 2017. You will hear about some really bad ghosties, including a widow serial killer who kept killing even after she was dead.

Episode 93: Little Tiny Supernova (season 5 premiere)

This week we are dissecting The Dead Files “Darkness Rises” (Season 11 Episode 1) which aired July 9, 2019.

We also talked about more Hallmark and holiday movies we’ve watched, spinsters, short people, a child serial killer, and the pros and cons of rearranging your sock drawer.

We discussed how looking back we really feel the show misrepresented Amy Allan in the last season. So once again we plead with Amy to come on and tell her side; or just come on and shoot the shit.

Pour yourself some hot cocoa (without rat poison) and join us when The Activity Continues.

Content Warning:

In this episode we discuss child death in history, a child serial killer, police interrogation, and death by poison; so warning for those who need it.

This is a general content warning, many of the episodes of the TV show talk about murders, some even involving children. So that may come up in our conversation as well. So please proceed with that in mind. But if you already watch The Dead Files you’ll be prepared.

The Activity Continues podcast has a common theme: paranormal discussion and exploration.

The show is hosted by three friends and "soul sisters": Amy Lotsberg, Amy Piersak, and Megan Simmons. They primarily dissect episodes of the TV show "The Dead Files," offering humorous and insightful commentary, personal anecdotes, and discussions about related topics like true crime, ghost stories, and paranormal encounters.

The Activity Continues is a podcast focused on all things paranormal. While the format has evolved over time, here's a general breakdown of what you can expect:

Recaps

Each recap episode features a deep dive of a specific episode, with the hosts analyzing Steve DiSchiavi's investigation and Amy Allan's psychic intuitions.

The hosts share their own insights, interpretations, theories, and opinions on the cases, often adding humor and personal anecdotes to the discussion.

Other topics

The show also delves into various topics related to the paranormal and supernatural. This includes true crime stories with supernatural elements, personal ghost encounters, discussions about haunted locations, and dreams.

The show also features listener-submitted audio recordings of potentially haunted locations, EVPs (electronic voice phenomena), and other strange happenings. The hosts analyze the recordings and share their interpretations, adding a layer of mystery and suspense.

Interviews

The hosts often invite guests, such as paranormal investigators, authors, or experts in related fields, and even former clients of "The Dead Files" to share their insights and experiences.

They also feature stories from people with compelling personal experiences.

These episodes offer fresh perspectives and insights into the world beyond the veil.

Overall

The Activity Continues is a mix of entertainment and information, catering to fans of "The Dead Files" and anyone interested in the paranormal. It's lighthearted and friendly, with plenty of laughs and personal touches, while also delving into the fascinating and sometimes unsettling world of unexplained phenomena.

Lighthearted Fun

Despite dealing with spooky topics, the hosts maintain a lighthearted and humorous tone, making the podcast enjoyable and engaging. They often share funny anecdotes, banter with each other, and interact with listeners through calls and emails.

Community Building

They actively foster a sense of community among listeners, creating a safe space for sharing personal experiences and discussing the paranormal. They encourage listener interaction through social media, email, and even a dedicated voicemail line.

Holiday Traditions and Hallmark Movies

Wow we really goofed off on this one! We talked a good 30 minutes before we even welcomed you. Don’t worry, we cut a lot of that. The intro is at about 15 minutes in. This would be one where you can just let it play and barely pay attention. You’re welcome, and happy holidays.

We talked about holiday traditions, holiday movies, and we laughed a lot. See below for the list of all the movies we talked about.

Content Warning:

We didn’t find anything we thought deserved a content warning, except that we use colorful language.
