In E054, Jenn and Michael Richter talk about what it's like to be a real estate investing family. While Jenn and Michael look like they're perfectly in-sync with the benefits of real estate investing, this wasn't always the case. Michael was the enthusiastic one and Jenn saw it as risky initially. They had to work together to overcome their differences in feelings on the matter and are no a strong and supporting team.

Their discussion of how they overcame their differences was particularly interesting and different from anything ever covered on this podcast and I found it extremely valuable.

While Jenn and Michael started investing in new construction units in Guelp and Milton before finding their current methodology, they now use the BRRRR model of investing in the Hamilton area focusing on converting legal secondary suites. In their free time Michael and Jenn love sharing their passion about real estate by speaking at real estate networking events, hosting their own YouTube video channel: Double E Properties, being guests on Podcasts, and being featured in Canadian real estate wealth magazine.

In E053 Carlo Sorrenti discusses his journey to $20,000,000 in real estate holdings. Carlo is a student rental investor and operator and continues to self manage his portfolio of high-end assets at market-setting rental rates. Whenever someone says something 'can't' be done Carlo just seems to laugh. Very few people demonstrably proceed with the confidence and swagger Carlo does and it's always been inspiring to watch for me over the 10 years I have known him.

Carlo was a mentor to me while I was getting and we're constantly sharing ideas and best practices. I can confidently say I would not have gotten to the position I'm in today if I had not been able to pick his brain and learn from his real estate investing knowledge.

In E052, Ankur Puri discusses flipping 18 properties over 3 years for more than $1.2 million dollars in profit. Whether it's a single family home he's buying from his various off-market tactics for lead generation or its a tax sale for an $8000 4-plex, Ankur always seems to be doing deals.

He's a savvy real estate investor with a keen understanding of how to build rapport will sellers and secure deals with a built in profit of $100,000 or more. I always enjoy hearing how people get deals done and todays episode was a great one to add to the collection.

In E051, Mark Loeffler gives a compelling interview on how to win at a large scale in not only real estate, but entrepreneurship in general. Mark is the published author of two very well estatblished Canadian real estate investing books and Mark is constantly finding success in his ventures.

It was a real treat for me to interview Mark because not only am I keenly interested in multifamily real estate, but Mark was an inspiration to me since I read his first book back in 2011. We really dug into the weeds on this episode to break down how and why multifamily deals work and what the bank thinks of them. Anyone thinking about graduating and taking their real estate investing game to the next level needs to listen to this episode. Especially if you're someone who enjoys the BRRRR model of real estate investing.

In E050, Jordan Campagnaro discusses the single largest and most successful (subjective, but I'll say it) BRRRR deal ever discussed on this podcast. She bought a building for approximately $1,000,000, added $1,000,0000 in renovations and carrying costs and received an appraisal for $3,800,000, therefore creating 1.8 million in wealth. They're in the process of refinancing it to pull all of their money back out and then some!

Jordan works in the mortgage finance field and is the co-host of 30 Minutes to Wealth which is aired on CHCH across Canada. She's a wealth of information on top of being my favourite person!

In E047, Mike Johnson joined me to share his story as both a real estate investor and high-performance agent with Keller Williams on the Mackay Realty Network team. Mike has shown his real estate skills lately with three purchases in three months, and a BRRRR in which he pulled out all money invested PLUS $100,000. He's presently at 11 doors and has done this in addition to closing 52 deals in his first year as a realtor. Anyone who knows the business can attest to just how difficult such a feat is and Mike is showing no signs of stopping as a realtor or an investor.

I love getting high-performers on the show because they reiterate to us all that so much more is possible than we give ourselves credit for. Thank you Mike for sharing your story.
