Borrowers can expect to pay fees and private fund rates when they borrow from Calvert but there seems to be a very strong convenience angle in their process, including quick closing. In this episode he shares how he's maintained that methodology to continue to refine his real estate portfolio and also how he's found hidden real estate gold on one of his larger multifamily properties. Kellan is currently exploring adding a 12 unit building in the back yard of one of his larger lots that already has a large multiunit building on it. His progression seems to follow a predictable growth pattern and is being done with incredible speed and consistency. Tune into this episode for more gold nuggets than will fit in this description.

Whether it be a main street red brick mixed use commercial/residential building or an old gas station with new development potential, Darren approaches the deal with a strong foundation of profitable projected financials and a "low burn rate" for his carrying costs. One of the nice benefits of working with small towns is that they tend to be less rigid and more flexible when working with developers. Darren's story is beyond interesting and this episode was packed with numbers and analysis.
