When you are given a gift, you must share it with the world. At least that is what designer and artist Cory Christopher believes. Cory joins the Inner Circle to share how his experience of growing up on a farm helped plant the seeds for him to come the highly successful and sought after designer he is today. He and Carrie talk about honoring what inspires you in life, changing your environment to reflect your passions, and how we can nurture the love of nature in our own children and future generations. Cory is a regular presence in the media, and his creative ideas and excellent taste have landed him projects working with clients featuring Poppy Barley, Glow Juicery, and Lululemon.  

What You’ll Hear In This Episode: It’s in Cory’s nature to create beautiful spaces wherever he goes. His amazing sunflower field was not only a fantastic Instagram spot, but it created a space where people could appreciate great scenery. Cory’s parents let him be exactly who he was, and nurtured his creative spirit. He also grew up on a farm and learned the value of hard work and tending to something that is growing. Cory found a community that gave him a safe and bully free zone while attending the Victoria School for the Performing Arts, and yes, it really was like the real life version of FAME. When we spread our wings and try something new, we have the chance to recreate ourselves. 

Cory’s talent of using his voice for theater and opera came in handy for his career in design working with people and his on camera work. What it’s really like to balance the artistic side of design and creativity, mixed with the business and numbers aspect of being an entrepreneur. More about Cory’s Design endeavors featuring wedding design, floral arrangement and much more. How Cory got into interiors design, and decided he was more into projects that have a definite ending with structure. Every artist and designer goes through a lot of trial and error. It’s not always as perfect as it appears on Instagram. Why Cory believes that an urban environment can also be a place to connect with nature and greenery.
