Taking you back to 8/11/2009 - Being featured this week…is in my estimation…a BBQ legend in her own right…Candy Weaver. I came to know Candy first from her running the BBQ side of the wood pellet company “BBQ’rs Delight” but since came to know her as a competitive BBQ cook, eventually the President of the KCBS board…and a lady who has owned every pellet cooker known to mankind…has also retrofitted non-pellet cookers into pellet cookers…her most infamous job in doing that was converting a Jambo into a pellet cooker.
In this show, which might have been the first time I had her on the show…we learn about how she got into the wood pellet business and how a chance meeting with another legend in BBQ, John Willingham…creator of the WHAM cooker…launched her into wood pellet sales for cookers…by the way…just another tie in to John Willingham…anyway…if you don’t know Candy…this is a great introduction to her…and if you haven’t tried BBQ’rs Delight pellets…you should check them out…they have quite a selection of flavors!
