During the tween and teen years, our child’s brain enters the second and final massive growth phase of their lifetime. What makes this phase so challenging for both parents and their children is that the teen brain becomes emotionally raw and reactive, and that once bubbly and affectionate child begins to struggle with emotional regulation and wants literally nothing to do with their parents.
