The Cowsills Podcast

We thought we'd have one more episode with no guest folks. We missed Susan last week so we get caught up with her and finally learn what 'I'm doing Mardis Gras' means in detail....just family stuff and some sibling bantering. Stay tuned for new guests in this new year starting next week. Hey maybe we can get our brother John on again and find out what REALLY happened with the Beach Boys!! There's always more to the story.

Hello everyone we are back from out East Coast Swing. It was awesome and we take you through the whole thing in this episode. No guest so we're just free-forming. Susan has Mardi Gras (we'll find out next week what that means). So sit back and enjoy we will have a guest next week but for now enjoy the talk!

Hi everyone we just wanted to say we're excited about hitting the road and doing some shows and getting on stage again. No guest this week just some musings and sibling ramblings. One note of interest - Bob shares with everyone what he says was the absolute worst thing our dad ever did. The #1 of all of it! Okay more guests to come of course and a very big 2024 awaits all of us. Enjoy the episode!

We had a great visit today with Jay Reinke who happens to be Jay #3 of "Jay and the Americans". What a great story as to how that came to be. So different and amazing. We hope your 2024 has blasted off in a positive direction! Filling the shoes as the voice of Jay and the Americans is not something any singer can do....only a special singer like Jay Reink! Wait'll you hear how he got there.

Hi everyone! Welcome to the podcast. We actually have our very first return guest, Bruce Belland of the Four Preps, and we catch up with Bruce in this episode amongst other things. Bruce kind of popped in early on us so we weren't able to set up his arrival properly but that's what's fun about the podcast...the looseness and flexibility we have. So enjoy the episode see you next week with another special guest!!

When someone you respect suggests you check something out and you do chances are you will be blown away by the heads up. That's what happened with us when Louise Palanker, creator and director of our documentary, "Family Band - the Story of the Cowsills", sent us a link to check out a new family band called "Raized Wrong". So sit back and enjoy this refreshing family group of two brothers and their dad. The boys are both under 14 and you might go ahead and google them before the episode and listen to some of the songs they've recorded with their dad. They make great music no doubt about it!

Welcome to 2024! It is amazing that we are still on our podcast path. Special thanks to Rock Positano, Steve Carlis and Danielle Kessler for keeping the podcast flame alive. What a great historic visit we had with the great New Orleans bass player extraordinaire Geore Porter, Jr.. You have to listen to this man's story it is historic and entertaining and amazing and extremely authentic. From his early days as a young boy growing up in New Orleans, he takes us down the path of his incredible musical journey which is still going to this day!

We hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve and New Year's Day welcome to our first podcast of 2024!!!! Whodathunkit? Not us! Anyway no guest just easing in to the New Year with some conversations about this and that. Enjoy today's episode and stay tuned for fantastic new guests in 2024!!!

Folks we ran in to some technical difficulty in Tomball which bumped us off of our podcast schedule so here we are catching up right in the middle of the holidays. Yikes!! We had a fun visit today talking about this and that. We're trying to attach some footage from Tomball, Texas and our Christmas show but as of this writing we'll have to see about that. Have a Happy New Year and a prosperous 2024 and here's to lots more episodes and guests from "The Cowsills Podcast"! Thanks for listening!

With last week's episode with the great Phil Solem having gone on a bit because not only was his story great but we were also visiting an old friend who we knew when he was an up and coming struggling musician like the rest of us. So we have no guest this week but we do catch everyone up on some issues and this and that so enjoy the visit and Merry Christmas!
