Hello everybody!!  We had a great weekend in Friday Harbor, Washington and are now heading to Boston and returning to the Happy Together Tour.  We'll get back to our normally scheduled programming next week but thought it would be fun to re-highlight our visit with Steve Van Zandt.  Little Stevie has a lot going on with his new book, his history with the Soprano's, his brand new documentary, his return to The E Street Band touring with the Boss, and his visit with The Cowsills on "The Cowsills Podcast"!!  Please enjoy a return to our visit with Steve and even if you heard it the first time you should listen again because you will hear things you missed during your first listen!  See you all out there!


Today's guest is Steven van Zandt, also known as Little Steven or Miami Steve. Steve is an American singer, songwriter, musician, producer, actor, activist, author, and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He is best known as a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, in which he plays guitar and mandolin. He is also known for his roles in several television series, Van Zandt has his own solo band called Little Steven and The Disciples of Soul.

The Cowsills are so excited to be talking to the great Steve Van Zandt. The group discuss the different worlds of the teenage rock years and the bar band rock years, we find out if he came to see The Cowsills' show at The Cutting Room by accident, and how he deals with inevitable disappointment and how to move forward.

Hello everyone from the Happy Together Tour! Sometimes we get in a location out here where the reception is spotty and we can't get smooth reception for our podcast episode.  To fill-in until next week, we thought it would be fun to run our most successful episode ever starring Phlash Phelps, the longtime historic and iconic morning DJ on SiriusXM "60's Gold".  After 143 episodes Phlash Phelps appearance seemingly will never be unseated as the #1 guest on the Cowsills Podcast.

Well everybody we have finally come up with a new guest this week....OUR BROTHER JOHN!!!!!!  He's not a Beach Boy, he'll aways be a Cowsill, he's not an Action Skuller, he isn't missing, no more "Where's John?"episodes so what's up?  Well he is here with us and we had a heck of a visit. He's got a little "I'm here to claim my legacy" kind of thing going on but this bro has a LOT so say!.  So listen in as we go down the John Lane, talk over each other, and find out what he and his lovely wife (Vicki Peterson of "The Bangles" for the uninitiated) are up to.  We also travel through some old Cowsill territory and do some revisiting about thises and thats. Well everybody we are back on schedule and back in the saddle.  It's been a challenge producing episodes on the road but we love it.  Today we kind of get back in to the swing of things and get you all caught up on what's happening in Cowsillland!  Hope you enjoy the episode and we will see you next week with our next new guest our brother John.  We'll get all caught up on what he's involved with and what the plan is that's underway.  Hope you're all having a great summer!!

Hey everyone as you know we're out here on the Happy Together Tour for the summer.  Sometimes we hit a snag on the road and production of our podcast gets interrupted due to road circumstances...such as this week (and last).  Rather than let the same episode run another week we thought it would be fun to focus on our very first episode and return that one to the top of the heap for enjoyment.  There's no video (that came later) so audio only. Hi everybody!! We're doing great out here on the Happy Together Tour having great shows with great audiences.  Today we visit about life at Halidon Hall, the mansion on the hill in Newport, Rhode Island where we lived just before we moved to New York.  We were on the cusp of making it big and we have a lot of fun memories to share with you about life in Newport c. 1965-1966.

Hello everybody we've been asked to continue through our historical walk through the different places we've lived and what life was like in them. Today we cover life in Ohio circa 1958, 59, 60, 61. Susan is not on this episode as she was born in Ohio and we left when she was three so there's no memories.... if she does have any we'll talk with her about that next week.  Enjoy the episode we're out on "The Happy Together" tour so we'll be talking about that soon.

Well folks we are heading out for our summer tour, our 10th Happy Together Tour.  So exciting to still be going and still be at it.  We had such fun last week describing our life in Santa Monica when we arrived in late 1968 on top of the world we thought we'd continue the theme this week and next even.  Today we talk some about life on Indian Avenue in Middletown, Rhode Island in the mid-sixties when we were forming the band and coming of age.  Hope you enjoy the episode and next time you'll hear from us we'll be out there on the road!  Bye for now!
