The Curator

We go to the trading floor with the ‘Urbanist’, speak to famed Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld, discover the charms of Georgian wine and talk magazines in Helsinki.

The fine art of urban preservation in Lisbon, Australia's magazine sensation ‘Dumbo Feather’, Italy's iconic lighting brand Flos and founder of cyclewear success story Rapha.

A highly musical edition of ‘The Curator’ as Ben Rylan guides us through Monocle’s choice output from the past week, including Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth, Turkish instrumentalist Gorkem Sen and American sister act Larkin Poe. Plus we go in pursuit of the perfect cottage in Canada.

This week we discuss the sleep pods that may change the art of napping in the workplace, meet ‘Men in this Town’ founder Giuseppe Santamaria, learn the business tricks from the chairman of a specialist rice company and discuss restaurant design with interior designer Robert Angell.

We review the best from Monocle 24’s weekly shows, including an interview with Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller and the owner of Rare Tea Company, and a report on Toronto’s suburbs and magazine-publishing scene.
