Food is personal.
And I don’t mean what you like and don’t like (although that’s part of it).
I mean how food makes you feel.
What foods give you energy? What foods drain your energy?
What foods make you feel full? What foods leave you feeling hungry?
What foods jack up your cravings? What foods help your cravings stay quiet?
How does intense exercise impact your appetite?
The answers to these questions are different for everyone.
This is why taking a one size fits all approach to weight loss with a rule based diet doesn’t work.
You have to be ready to show up and figure out what your personal needs are. And that’s going to mean doing some work. Trying things, paying attention to what happens. Doing more of that thing. Or maybe trying something else to see if it works better.
Until you figure out your own personal set of needs and guidelines.
I think this is such an overlooked part of nutrition and wellness-and ultimately it holds the key to the change you’re looking for.
