Markets are still reacting to the WASDE report. Works with China & Japan continue, weather is a non market at this point, cattle had a rough ride while hogs push higher.

Not a lot of positive trade news…hopefully the pressure on the corn is backing off. Soybeans have been within a range & corn has dropped 50 cents. Cattle has been over cooked, prepare for the worst and deal with what you get with expanded limits.

Another drop in the corn still reeling from yesterday’s WASDE report. Ethanol took a hit in the futures. Many are caught between now & month end. Will September delivery period be rough again. Another down day in cattle expanded limits. Feeders can’t expand tomorrow but live cattle can. Huge hit to the ag economy.

The trade started with cattle limit down and following the WASDE and acreage report corn joined them. Sue Martin, Ag & Investment, tackles the tough question of how USDA could have came to some of their acreage numbers. Martin also discusses why cattle took the loss of a packing plant hard.
