Food is a drug, and sugar is our number one drug of choice. (Gluten and dairy also have an opioid effect on our brains, so I would class them as drugs too.) When you do a cheat meal (or day), it has a far more detrimental impact than "just a little extra sugar." You trigger addiction, cravings, and other problems that sabotage fast, lasting fat loss and optimal health. In this podcast, I want to change the conversation, rethink "cheating," and see food is information that can help you become lean, healthy, and vibrant. Rather than deprivation, I suggest some easy lateral shifts that create low-sugar impact versions of your favorite foods.
