Immaculate Conception
This glorious feast calls all of us to celebrate the truth that Mary was conceived by her mother Ann "immaculately," free from the stain of original sin.  From the very moment of her conception, Mary is prepared to be the vessel and mother of the Son of God.  She is the great intercessor for all of us before her Son.  Even when we can't find the words to pray or know what we need, our Blessed Mother will help us.

He'll Come For Me
Today is the Feast of St. Nicholas.  His generosity towards the poor and the children, remind us of the example of Jesus, the Good Shepherd.  As members of the Lord's flock, no matter where we find ourselves, if we stray, He'll come for us.  His mercy and love will bring us home.

Magnificat

The Prayer Of Mary

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.

He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.

He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.

He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children forever.

Concert Friday
We're just getting started in the Advent Season!  But this season is rather short so there is a bit of urgency to take advantage of the Lord's call for each of us to ready the way for the Lord, not for the anniversary of His first coming, but the long anticipated glory of His second coming.

It's one thing to be still and quiet and know that He is God. But if we carry all our baggage and concerns in that space with us- we will have a hard time hearing God's voice. Sr. Carol shares a poem and some insight into the great Psalm 46.

Prepare The Way
As we enter the month of December in this first week of Advent, it may be a good time to put our "to-do" lists aside.  This may be the perfect opportunity to open our eyes and our hearts to what's going on around us.  Make room for the patience, the silence and the waiting.

Call to Holiness
Today the Church venerates St. Andrew and the call he received to be one of the 12 Apostles.  His response allowed him the ability to pursue God and the gift of holiness.  All of us are called to holiness and by God's grace, through the sacramental life of the Church, we can become holy as we seek to pursue God.
