In this episode I get to hang out with an unsung hero.

He's one of those humans that goes about every day making a difference in other people's lives, yet there's no fanfare, no cheers, to him it's getting on with the job, a role he stepped into with the death of his best mate Dwayne Lally to suicide nearly a decade ago.

Casey is the CEO and Co-Founder of LIVIN, an Australian registered charity that has been on a mission since 2013 for the world to accept that "It Ain't Weak to Speak."

Dwayne's death was the catalyst for Casey to start LIVIN as he didn't want other friends and family to go through what Dwayne and his family were going through.

LIVIN is breaking the stigma of mental health and getting people talking about how they are feeling, making mental health part of the everyday conversation.

Angus took on the role of Diageo Australia Managing Director in April 2020, joining in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and Australia's widespread lockdowns. He has led them through to the other side, where Diageo currently represents 30% of the spirits market in Australia, producing more than 10 million cases annually.

Prior to this role he spent close to a decade at Treasury Wine Estates holding various Managing Director roles. In his last position, he had accountability for the largest business in North America and led the global sales function.

Angus grew up in the wine industry, with his parents having a wine bottling business. After graduating from Sydney University with a degree in economics, he held several positions with alcohol-related enterprises.

In 2003, with business partner Shannon Hautot, Mark started OrderMate, a Point Of Sale solution that was acquired in 2021, and more recently their current business, HungryHungry.

What started as a QR code order & pay at table has now evolved into a suite of technology products and services that absolutely boomed during the period of ongoing lockdown restrictions.

HungryHungry has recently been recognised with several awards including winner of the 2021 Finder Award for Most Innovative Business Response to COVID-19.

Ryan is a country kid at heart, but a serious entrepreneur. Following school, he spent a few years in telemarketing, and then fell into mortgage broking at a friend's recommendation, taking the steep learning curve from zero to expert to become a top salesperson within 12 months.

He has more than two decades of experience in the mortgage sector spanning the likes of Mortgage House and Australian First Mortgage, as well as RAMS, where he was awarded 'Rookie of the Year', ultimately leading to him opening his own RAMS franchise where he settled over $1.7 Billion in loans within 3 years.

Spotting a massive gap in the self-employed market segment, he started Rate Money with co-founders Luke Sheales and Glenn Maynard in 2019, growing the business to 30 branches, handling over $3 billion in assets.

In 2022, Rate Money won the Mortgage Manager category in the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia Awards and was named 5-star Mortgage Innovator by Australian Broker Magazine.

Damien is a Christian Brother and has taught for over thirty years in schools throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Over the past twenty years he has worked with disadvantaged youth, homeless men and women, refugees, and asylum seekers.
