The Jason Stapleton Program

Last night a lone gunman killed 13 people including himself at a nightclub in Thousand Oaks, CA.

I could spend today doing what the news is doing and talk about the tragedy. Instead, I'm going to use this darkness to share a message of hope and inspiration. I hope you enjoy.

The election results are in and with any luck, it'll be two years of gridlock. But while everyone is talking about the national results I want to talk about ballot measures. We talk a lot about the stuff politicians vote for but what about all the times we do it to ourselves.

Today we'll discuss taxes and borrowing and I'll show you why you should never vote for a new tax or bond measure, EVER.

We talk about unions quite a bit on the show. As you know I'm not opposed to unions at all but like any organization, they overreach at times and it creates more problems than it solves.

UPS Freight, a division of USP is facing a potential strike on Nov. 11th if it's members don't approve a deal with the company.

Right now it appears a strike is inevitable so I asked Chris to come on the show and explain the details. Chris has worked for UPS for 26 years and he's got an insiders point of view. He's also a union member.

Enjoy!

I am not an advocate of violence but sometimes a guy just has it coming and if any kid ever had it coming it was this kid.

So I thought we would talk a little today about aggression, the use of violence and our culture today. It's interesting what people find acceptable and unacceptable.

I'm sure there will be a lot of opinions after today's episode.

When you're a nobody and you want to make a name for yourself one of the things you can do is pick a fight with one of the leaders in the niche. It's called punching up, and it happened to me yesterday.

I bring it up today not because it's of any benefit to me but because it happens a lot in the libertarian community. It frustrates me because we're all supposed to be moving in the same direction.

So let's talk a little today about what we can do to be better supporters of our ideas and our fellow libertarians.
