My half marathon got canceled that was in 2 weeks.
Do you know when you just feel stuck? Like blah and not fully alive? That was me when I decided to train for the half marathon.
I spent a few years not doing the things that I used to do, not doing the things that lit me up, putting myself on the back burner, not speaking up for what I needed, and not doing the spontaneous things that I love doing.
When I realized I lost myself along the way in a relationship I grabbed myself by the horns and made the changes I wanted to see in 4 aspects of my life. Because I DESERVE IT & SO DO YOU.
🤗Mentally- seeing my therapist weekly, daily nature walks, journaling.
💕Emotionally- investing time & energy into deeper friendships, speaking for what I need, feeling the feels.
🙏🏼Spiritually- Daily meditation, prayer quiet time
🏃🏼♀️Physically- Half marathon training, yoga 2x a week, daily dance parties.
The last 8 months have not been the easiest but so healing. I am feeling full, grateful and in alignment with my truth and power again.
When you fill-up your cup ruthlessly, all the other areas of your life expand, grow and become full.
Today I took a bunny hop alone around town for Easter and ended up knocking out the half marathon I’ve been training for and feeling physically STRONG!
3 things I learned while training for my half:
✨When you stop running you’ll most likely pee
✨Running is 80% mindset 20% strength
✨My feet will need to be rubbed for the next month
Maybe running isn’t your thing- I get it. I encourage you to get curious on what is something you’ve always wanted to do, be, accomplish? GO DO IT. YOU ARE ALIVE TO THRIVE. YOU DESERVE IT!
