Jody Plauche was just 11 years old when his karate teacher and family friend, Jeff Doucet, popped by the family home and asked if he could take Jody for a drive.

Jeff promised Jody’s mum he’d have him back in 15 minutes… but it would be 10 days until she saw her son again.

And the story that unravelled was only made more shocking when on March 16, 1984, Jody’s father, Gary, decided to take matters into his own hands. On live television.
