Tony reveals that he was grumpy in Canada because there was no “comfortable seating” in his furnished apartment. Then Johnny realizes that Tony’s a little princess! And they do a fun scene about it! Nicole Byer snuggles in to get cozy on a chilly, LA day, and they talk about how displeasing it is to put in effort, how popular Nicole is with children, and how they’d all like to fornicate with dolphins! It’s nice.

An exemplary episode finds the chums lathered up about the titillating, old Nickelodeon show Hey Dude. Then, when they criticize a prestige movie, Johnny’s fears of being blacklisted are revealed, and Tony doubles down on his long-held assertion that Johnny is a cowardly, “company man.” They have yet another tiresome argument about which of them complains more, and then they do a spectacular scene about a sick mule. Mitra Jouhari dazzles as they discuss skincare secrets, the Housewives, and how to tell when you can start talking shit with a new coworker. Hang on tight pard, ‘cause this ep’ll buck ya!

This deeply-personal episode tips its hat to the Johnny’s Game Home Game winners before diving into an in-depth analysis of the inconsistencies running riot through Anthony’s arguably-spurious Mens Health article. The amigos discuss their jealousies of each other, and then their ancient friend Andy Rocco joins the Threeway to jaw about the concept of multiple best friends and the lies Andy has told to ingratiate himself to John. Some old resentments get dredged up, and then all that is swept away when Andy shockingly unveils “Andy’s Lame,” a strange ripoff of Johnny’s Game. You’ll enjoy this ep, but it may make you feel weird.

The milestone 11th episode finds the lads discoursing on The Monkees, Jacquie Lawson e-cards, and their own tender relationships with masculinity. They discuss how their respective fathers feel about the podcast, and then they do a classic misunderstanding scene! When Julie Klausner pops in for Threeway, the compliments fly! This episode rocks!

A heady episode finds the guys discussing the complexities of recycling, the failings of personal responsibility, and the nexus of politics, news media, and nostalgia. And guess what? They pretty much figure it all out. That is until Anthony becomes distracted by his smelly finger. Then, the hombres try out their premeditated approach to abuse-free improv…and it doesn’t work! When Pam Murphy arrives, the Threeway talks about insecurity and how Pam never quite got enough credit for surviving cancer. This ep is sort of a thinker!

In a spooky, vaguely-Halloween-oriented episode, our hosts admit their fears of the general public discovering their home addresses. We learn of Tony’s bizarre trick-or-treat favoritism. And, after a particularly heart-pounding improv, the fellas vow to try doing scenes where the comedy doesn’t derive exclusively from characters abusing each other. Then, Rae Sanni drops by for Threeway, and they all discuss anxiety, a persistent, “Sunday night” feeling, and how nice of a guy Johnny is! If you’re jonesing for that “Halloween” vibe in December, this is the ep for you!

The boys are back! Tony, unfortunately, has been rankled by a snarky, social media comment, and it takes him a minute to calm down. When he does, the guys gloat about their recent weight loss efforts and immediately turn it into a competition to determine which of them shall bear the unenviable title of “Fattest Friend.” Gil Ozeri pops in, and they compare strategies for a three-way, fight-to-the-death scenario. Then, Gil sticks around for Johnny’s Game, a first for the podcast! This episode is disgusting.

The fellas have a bit of trouble getting this episode off the ground. Tony expresses his contempt for Johnny’s responsibility to his family. Johnny claps back. At this point, it’s becoming clear to the listener just how old these episodes are. They were recorded so long ago that the hosts are getting a creeping fear that they may never be released. Then, Jackie Clarke parachutes in to lighten the mood with her delightful self! They all three share a memory of a gastroenterologically-challenged trip to North Carolina. A new segment is debuted, and Tony sweeps a decidedly-easier round of Johnny’s Game. Great ep! Hostile ep. But great.
