Welcome into THE PICKLE JAR Lorie who miraculously survived a long road to diagnosis with Addison's Disease. A journey that started after the birth of her son in 2010.

Experiencing many of the typical symptoms of the illness and also an extremely LOW CORTISOL result Lorie diagnosis still took over 6 years. But Lorie had the feeling deep inside of her that something was terribly wrong. FINALLY she had a NAME to what was leaving her extremely fatigued, low blood pressure, dark skinned and near death and it was ADDISON'S DISEASE.

Her journey continues to be unique and Lorie has learned many lessons in the last few years that have been GAME CHANGERS in her illness management and her quality of life.

Welcome to THE PICKLE JAR newly diagnosed with Addison's Disease, 28-year-old Ashley from Colorado.

She was diagnosed in June of 2023 but the Addison's journey has been part of her entire life. Her father was diagnosed with Addison's when she was just 6 months old and after months of her body on the brink of death, her father suggested Ashley be tested for Addison's.

Although there was a family history of autoimmune disease as her father also has Type 1 Diabetes, and Ashley had the CLASSIC symptoms of adrenal insufficiency Addison's diagnosis was MISSED by her medical team.

She has already made strides in her disease management and is getting back to living and caring for her two small children.

And living with PTSD, Ashley also acknowledges the importance of controlling her anxiety and the effect her mental health has on her STRESS and her adrenal insufficiency.

She is geared up and on the road to BRIGHTER days but understands there will be MOUNTAINS for this Colorado girl to climb. With a positive attitude in her backpack, she is ready to climb high and live life.

Jill shares with you more of her current journey in LIFE. Her current low cortisol days are now plaque with uncontrollable emotions that are weighing heavy on her heart and soul.

But it is from the lessons she learned from the death of her first husband when she was only 24 and pregnant she is ready to move FORWARD from her current struggles.

She received a reminder this week of the power she has. No matter what her journey is...for the love she has in her life....that is the GOOD STUFF...she wouldn't change it anyways.

Healing is her responsibility. She is now ready to take the next steps.

The POWER OF 5...simply asking herself to do 5 things that ease her heart, lessen her anxiety, that help her move FORWARD not more on.
