On this second guest appearance, we discuss learning the hard way by making some hiring mistakes and how they can be remedied by applying lessons from the book Traction by Gino Wickman. I shed light on a time when I had to let 40% of my team go by putting in place principles from the book, and the subsequent pivots they made from there. 

One of the overarching pieces in the recruitment process is the importance of getting clear on core values. Whitney and I  discuss this, and how having this facet rock solid has lead to a stable hiring process. 

While all of this is important, giving back is always at the top of my core values and those of my team, we get into this as well.
