  • Ep: 137 - Life Gives You Opportunities To Heal

Many people, myself included, are oblivious to the opportunities life presents to us to help us on our journey. When it comes to OCD & Anxiety we often view our triggers are these terrible things we have to endure as opposed to opportunities to heal. In this episode, I want to offer a different perspective on triggers and try to help you reframe them as opportunities.

  • Ep: 135 - Discovering the lens of fear

In this episode, I want to discuss the process of discovering the lens of fear. The lens of fear is a fascinating phenomenon. When we are caught in the fear mind we think we are operating from logic, when we are really operating from emotion. Our decisions and behavior are entirely driven by the intention of navigating an uncomfortable emotion, and then we attempt to justify our behaviors with "facts" or "logic". One of the most pivotal moments on a person's recovery is when they wake up to this fact and begin to see the lens of fear for what it really is.

  • Ep: 134 - OCD & Anxiety Treatment - Choose Your Path of Discomfort

When it comes to OCD & Anxiety treatment being uncomfortable is simply part of the process. One of the things that holds people back from recovery is their unwillingness to experience uncomfortable feelings and emotions. But the reality is, whether you are stuck in the OCD & Anxiety Loop or facing your fears head-on, uncomfortable emotions are going to be there. So in this episode, I want to talk about the importance of choosing your path of discomfort.

  • Ep: 133 - How Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) Rewires the Brain

In this episode, I want to talk about exposure and response prevention, commonly referred to as ERP. ERP is the process of experiencing a feared situation and preventing yourself from engaging in behaviors that will immediately relieve your fear. Through the process of ERP, we are able to reprogram and rewire the brain through neuroplasticity. We are also able to challenge and rebuild limiting beliefs.   So in this episode, I want to discuss how to use ERP to rewire the brain.

  • Ep: 132 - How to Create Change - The Power of Story

In this episode, I want to talk about how to create change in your life. Most people look at change from an external perspective. This leads them to try to change things in the outside world. The problem with this approach is that there are too many things in the world outside of our control. So in today's episode, I want to offer a different route and I want to talk about changing the story we operate from. Your story has a profound impact on everything you do. Yet, for many of us, our story may be something we are completely unaware of. Check out the episode to find out more. Have a great day!

    ________

In this episode, I want to address one of the biggest problems with living in a state of Anxiety. Aside from being bad for your physical health, the problem with anxiety is that there is a part of you that thinks you are being completely logical and rational, when in fact you are completely lost in emotion. This usually leads us to make decisions that don't align with our best interest over the long term. So in this episode, I want to discuss how to recognize when we are in a state of anxiety and what to do when we experience anxiety.

These last two years have been tough, and as much as we might hate to admit it, there's a lot of uncertainty heading into this year. And while I am hopeful and optimistic that this will be an amazing year for all of us, it is important to take time to reflect and heal on this last year before we just dive into the grind of 2022. So I wanted to start the year off with a few ideas about closing up last year properly and moving into 2022 in a healthy way
