Ingrained patterns of narcissistic psychopathology do not magically change. They remain entrenched. The family fairy tale and secrets must be kept intact. The carefully manufactured pristine image that narcissists create and perfect must be kept burnished. 

Brothers and sisters who live the delusion of their narcissistic family.

Some play brilliant, athletic, musical, nerd, actor, etc.

Often there is one child who holds the truth about the family secrets, hidden cruelties, les and betrayals. This child is often an empath, the sensitive, highly attuned individual who lives without denial and delusion within the confines of this highly disturbed family.  

This child is treated with disdain, cruelty, the object of scorn, criticism, humiliation. 

This child of truth is a foreigner in her/his own land. She belongs nowhere. She is unaccepted by her kin. Individuality is a source of ugly scorn, even hatred in these highly enmeshed narcissistic families.

Empaths have a dreadful time in these highly pathological family constellations. Some escape into the rich worlds of the imagination through drawing, sketching, painting, writing, reading, study, Nature, finding the gifts of solitude. 

You deserve to heal, recover, transform and create.
